I don't remember much about this book- I never finished it because it got so boring - and I got it from a library a few years back (September, 2018) but it was published much before that.

It's in the POV of a woman (older than she is young) who is paralyzed. No one (except for one person) knows she can move two of her fingers. They ask her questions (move fingers once for YES, twice for NO).

Two of the people who are frequently in the woman's house, are planning to kill her.

I believe she dies at the end.
