I read this book as a child (2008-2015). I believe the cover was purple and brown. The main character is a girl wizard, she lives in a castle with her little brother and someone else. Their parents were turned into pigs from a spell gone wrong. There is a spell book room, all the books talk and sing. She gets in trouble for trying on fencing armor and playing with it. I think they go on some sort of a quest away from the castle. They are having to protect the castle from some sort of attack, possibly a bad wizard. The castle has a moat that she has to get around to escape for the quest.
