Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 317 comments Hey, I just noticed that the prompt "12. Read a book set in 2012 or about a significant event you personally experienced that year." is not on our spreadsheets!

Did ours get deleted or was that prompt removed from everyone's pages?

I was preparing to read a book for it and discovered that it is missing!

That is a deliberation omission.
That prompt is part of the Celebrating 25,000 Members quarterly challenge, but is not part of our readathon.

Amy (Other Amy) | 634 comments Happy news! Kelly just messaged me and will be able to participate this week. Since we were supposed to have her on our team the whole time and didn't make any substitution, I'm assuming it's fine for us to count any books she read last week as well. Is that accurate?

I So Agree With This!! :)

Gotcha.

I picked it up from there when we were directed to use that list for this team challenge. Just now noticed its absence.

message 106: by Karin (new)

Karin | 232 comments I may have missed this somewhere, but when reporting numbers in the second week, can I just put in our current totals and not do math to figure out what we have finished since then?

Amy
That's great news.
And, yes, please count all the pages read (and audiobook hours) she's completed since March 25th in Kelly's time zone.

It's been mentioned from the start that the readathon prompts would be a variation of the 25k quarterly challenge prompts.
That's why the readathon prompts are posted in the second spot of each team thread. :D

Karin, team leaders are expected to share their final totals by the end of the final week. You are not supposed to segregate totals week wise.

Karin | 232 comments Guardians of the Library have finished reading for all 50 tasks without using any of our wildcards. We are still tracking our pages read and hours of listening, but is there anything else we can do?

Well done, Guardians! I’m posting the bonus prompts down below for teams who are finished with their primary 50 tasks.

Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments BONUS PROMPTS

Congratulations to all the teams who are finished with their primary 50 tasks! Here is a extra treat for you to test yourself a bit further:

*Read 3 books for any of the 1-book tasks (no repeating prompts)
*Read 3 books for any of the 2-book tasks (no repeating prompts)
*Read 3 books for any of the 3-book tasks (prompts may be repeated)

Good luck!

Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments Guidelines for bonus prompts

Teams, please let us know here once you are finished with your primary 50 tasks; we will then add the bonus prompts to your team spreadsheets. Please note that teams qualify for bonus prompts only when they have completed their primary prompts.

So far, I’ve only added the bonus prompts for Guardians of the Library since they are the only team to complete their first 50 tasks.

Willemijn (willemijn_z) | 202 comments I've read more in these past two weeks than I had in the three months prior to this readathon. Thank you to everyone who helped organise it, and let's hope we can do this again in the future!

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 317 comments Team Textual Healing have completed their 50 original prompts.

We are still reading for our Bonuses and look forward to seeing them listed on our spreadsheet.

No WILD CARDS were harmed (view spoiler) in this 25K Readathon!

message 130: by Karin (last edited Apr 07, 2021 02:45PM) (new)

Karin | 232 comments Thanks. We added these bonus challenges and have completed them with some marathon reading...it helps to have someone living in a time zone 12 hours different.

They don't add up with the other tasks, of course, and we are still reading to get more pages and wildcards :)

This has been a lot of fun.

Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments Readathon Final Progress Update

Hi Team Leaders/Assistants, once all the members of your respective teams have recorded their final page counts and audio hours, please update your final progress in the Readathon Team Progress thread. If your team was unable to complete all the primary 50 tasks, use your earned wild cards to fulfil the pending prompts.

Please drop a new comment in the progress thread to let me know that you've shared your final progress. Note that this will be your final update so double-check before sharing your progress.

Thank you!

I'll echo everyone's sentiment here. This readathon was so much fun. It will great to have this kind of event repeated. You did a brilliant job in organizing it @oshizu, @Trisha and @Sarahkat.
