For about 10 years, we have had a series of perpetual threads for our Goodreads Superlibrarians to merge (or delete outright) items with too many shelvings for deletion by other Goodreads Librarians. For the most part, these threads worked well. In large part due to the tireless efforts of our Superlibrarians.

However, more recently the number of off-topic posts, requests requiring additional back-and-forth, and an increased rate of requests have overwhelmed our Superlibrarians. Fewer and fewer have been willing to handle this thread's growing backlog -- quite understandably!

We are going to tackle this with a two-pronged approach:
1) There will be Goodreads Experts assisting with working through the existing backlog in this thread. They will have limited time (as they have many other responsibilities), but we hope that over the course of a few weeks, all the remaining requests in this thread will be completed or otherwise responded to.
2) We will be closing down this thread, and replacing it with a new folder for requests requiring superlibrarians. New requests will be in their own threads, which will hopefully make it less daunting for a Superlibrarian to take on requests -- and easier to deal with if one needs additional details, etc.

Note: No additional requests will be accepted in this thread. If they are posted, they will be deleted. This will help our Experts (and any Superlibrarians who wish to assist) work through the existing backlog without additional confusion. All new requests must be posted in individual threads in the new "Help me, Superlibrarian!" folder.
