Without an ISBN/ASIN, Goodreads cannot "recognize" that a book is already in the database and will auto-import it again as soon as it becomes available, resulting in duplicates. If you want to avoid that, you will need to add the ISBN/ASIN to your entry as soon as one has been issued to you - either edit the book entry to add it yourself or come back here and request we do it :)

I don't have the ASIN yet and was planning to add it as soon I got one, but I'll add the ISBN now to this edition.
