Review - this one took me back to my early days of reading. This is a type of book I have not read since I was 16-17. These were my favorites when I first started reading romance books, probably because they were my mothers favorite too. This book was very enjoyable but slow at times. Ended HFN but kind of wish it had a epilogue.

Kelly Jo, we were just planning ahead in case we get that task. We don't know our next task yet. I'll check us in.

ugh its one of those days. fixed

I started Ink and Ice: A Twin Cities Ice Book this afternoon (after we got our assignment, of course) and I'm enjoying it! It's proving to be a long reading 278 pages, but I have another shorter book to tackle next: Wounded Inked. It runs 172 pages.

Since we've got to read eight books for this one, I have a few others in mind if I finish these two quickly. I am supposed to work all weekend, though....

Some sports themed romances have little to do with sports - I’ve read some books in which it felt as though the author picked a professional sport at random in order to have a MC with a great body, a big paycheck, and some measure of fame. This is NOT the case for Ink and Ice: A Twin Cities Ice Book. Figure skating is key to the story and the romance and might as well be a third MC. Aaron and Zack are interesting, both singly and together. There’s a bit of a BDSM kink that’s never fully explored and if you’re looking for lot of hot and heavy sex scenes, this one may not be for you; it’s more titillating than explicit. There’s an odd touch of magical realism, but it works, mostly.
This my first book by Erin McRae and Racheline Maltese, but I will definitely be reading more.

Actually, I didn't like my second choice, either - some days I'm hard to please!
I've still got a few that will work, I hope, lol.

Waiting for my review to transfer from Amazon I realised I liked this less than my first review implied. It was well written and I wish I liked it more. I feel my current mindset held my enjoyment back and I don't want to penalize the story for it. Our mc's don't spend much time with each other at first and it skips them cementing their relationship to get to the wrap up. There are many good aspects to the story, I just didn't connect.

Omg Teresa. Have you contacted them? Surely they can't just delete all your reviews.

I did email them. We’ll see what they say. I think it’s because I read so fast I post a review almost everyday.

Cute story with reluctant mates. It was nice to see both troubled characters come together. Interesting start to series with lots of diverse characters looking for redemption.

Sweet! I liked seeing Jude realize his feelings. I liked all their friends and think I’ll check out the next book too.

Review: I liked the relationship between the brothers, but I never felt any chemistry between the MCs. The pace of the book is slow, and not that much happens. Not sure if I'll continue with the series.

Oh that is good to know, thanks! The romance really fell flat on the first one for me, but since every book features a different couple I'll give it a go. :)

Undercover is my favorite Vino and Veritas book so far! I loved Gabe (he's the kind of MC you just want to give a hug to) and Alec grew on me. The conlusion to the mystery felt a little rushed, and I wish there'd been a little more backsotry for both of them, but still, I enjoyed it very much.

Review: I really enjoyed this one. The paranormal/fantasy elements were great, the pacing was good and I really liked the characters. I might have wanted just a tiny bit more romance, but the plot did make up for it. And I absolutely loved Grim.

Awesome Teresa! And no worries, I don't think we can get a task sooner than that anyway.
And really well done everyone, this was the hardest task so far and we did great. :)

Wonderful
I read this when it was a serial story in her group. I’m so glad she decided to polish and publish it. It has humour, action, intrigue, and magic.

Task 14 - 84. Pick a category from the current RRRC Monthly Challenge and read 6 books for that category. Reader's Choice is exempt from this task.
As a team a category from RRRC's April Monthly Challenge, then read 6 books that fit that category. Remember to let me know how you know your book fits the selected category! Reader's Choice is not an option for this task!

I think we all need to read from the same category. I suggest:
🐰4. April is Stress Awareness Month: We are all living with a bit of extra stress these days so use some time in April to kick back and destress.
Read a book by a favorite author, or a book that you feel will be a great escape from everyday stresses.

I did. 😬 On the bottom right corner of the page there's a small "beta" button. Click that and then "leave beta".
If they implement that page as it is right now, it's going to be difficult for challenges, since one of the "improvements" is that we can't get to the tags page anymore. I mean, if GR really wanted something to fix, the app discussions are right there.

I really liked Darien, Silas, Grim, and Pip! This is a well crafted world with danger and humour both. Their are some good side characters to go with the story. I hope the author writes more in this world. It was just as great on re-read!!
