Yes, I know ^^'
But that would have excluded LGBTQ+ authors from counting for the challenge who wrote in times when they couldn't dare to write such characters. So I chose to make it real LGBTQ+ people over fictitious ones for Pride Month, after considering the options.

@Blobbie!: I noticed - hope you can get yourself out of that soon. If it's any consolation, my June didn't go as planned reading-wise either.

@Surya: That would have been an idea - but it's kind of too late now ^^' I'll keep it in mind for next year, though, or similar challenges around representation topics.
So, the challenge is officially over now, and Noor single-handedly decided it for the Black Flamingos!
Congratulations!
If there is a Pride Challenge next year, I'll make the rules less "strict" concerning representation, as Surya rightly suggested. :-)

I totally get that it can be hard to find openly lgbtq+ authors! I was only able to find so many bc I had several on my tbr already lol :)

Haha good luck getting out of that! It seems like I'm starting to go into my own slump rn too, hopefully it doesn't last too long :/
