Hey Jans, could you change it to 208 pages you have a kindle edition but not the one published first. This book has a lot of editions so I understand the confusion. I had to go digging to find the first kindle edition. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Awww... I am so sorry! I really just skimmed the first page to get the kindle version. Didn't even check there were four pages. Thanks a lot, Kat. Next time I ll investigate properly.

The book started with a blast, and I was drowned in Amy Harmon's writing. I was ready for the heartbreak and got indulged in the budding romance, and around 25% of the book, throughout which Moses had been such a jerk to Georgia, suddenly he leaves her.

Things happened, time moved on, but the promise that blurb gave me about heartbreak did not happen at all. I liked Georgia, but the way the book described her to be tough as a wall, didn't suit the story. She was a wreck and she easily let Moses worm into her life, without him groveling for it. And I didn't feel Moses's love for Georgia anywhere in this story.

Not to mention this was a paranormal book, even though I was thinking it to be an emotional ride.

I noticed that. I noticed after I had already read it and posted the completion that it was combined with editions of another book and it messed everything up. I am hoping she will give us our next task and I will try and make up for that. Sorry!

When I chose the book it did have 51,000. I noticed later tonight that it had combined editions of First comes love by a different author with it. I posted it in the Goodreads Librarian Group and they fixed it, but I didn't even think of it messing with the ratings.

This book didn't give that spark that I'd experienced in Coraline. It was bleak and sad, in fact. The fantasy elements were too jumbled and too irrelevant in some cases. And many of the characters were too single dimensional except for Scarlett and Bod. This one didn't work well for me.

Review — Susan Stoker packs such a punch into her stories! In this installment of the Delta Force Heroes series, she tackles two seemingly broken souls who help mend each other. Bryn was such a fun, quirky character. Although it’s not made clear, she appears to be on the autistic spectrum. Regardless, she is extremely honest and straightforward and has such an amazing heart. Fish has been seen a bit in previous books, but it was difficult to like him at first. His brash reaction to Bryn and his horrible behavior made it difficult to feel sympathy for him, despite his disability. However, Ms. Stoker does an amazing job of redeeming him slowly as he discovers Bryn sees Fish, the man, not Fish, the disabled soldier.
