Review: This was another awesome story from Kristen Callihan. It was very emotional and intense between the two MCs, so even though not a lot happened plot-wise, the story still kept me glued to my kindle until the end. I loved that the story was told from both POVs too, it makes the story feel more accessible and intimate than if it's just told from one character's side. This one is going on my top favorites list for this year.

Review: excuse the swearing.
I'm teetering on giving this a 5 star. I just can't because it just wasn't quite perfect.

So so close but parts mainly at the beginning I wadn't so sure I wanted to continue this.

I like the characters but my god her parents are arseholes. Such utter pricks who don't listen to her at all and it got very tiresome.
The romance between her and Max was good I did enjoy that.
Also as much as I liked Max the fact his career was in tatters kind of put me off him in parts.

Review: Oh boy, wow! I have been reading this series out of order and finally got back to this book. It is definitely my favorite out of the series. This book had a story that was interesting, sad, hopeful and lots of hot, sexy, steamy sex scenes. Garrert might just be my favorite Cold Fury hockey player. His character showed a lot of depth and maturity.
Olivia meets Garrett just as she recently finds out she has cancer. Neither really expect much more then a one night stand so it is fun to watch their feelings grow into something more. Looking forward to reading more about the other players.

This wasn't my favorite book of the series - I'm not sure if it was the story or the narration. I really didn't like the male narrator of the audiobook, which took away from everything else. This book was about Wynn daughter, Everly, who manages the family foundation, and Wyatt Bell, hockey player for her dad's team. Both have baggage from their past, which gets in the way of a relationship. The book was okay, but neither character really made me care what happened, and the over-excitement of the male narrator as well as his voice when he read Everly's parts was so annoying.

Just wanted to add as further clarification - as long as a book is started after the task is assigned you can use it. 😊 It appears that is the case here, but I thought of that last night when I was looking through the Q&A thread... I never remember all the details at first glance! 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Review: I didn't realize at first that this was a book with the characters still in high school, so that threw me off a little. But once I got into the story and saw that it wasn't a typically angsty OTT teenage drama, I loved it. Ava is a kickass girl who came from nothing and even though she is brutalized at the start of the story, she comes back even stronger than ever and faces everyone down. I will say that the bad guy was pretty obvious, but it didn't matter because what counted was how she handled it. And the ending was pretty gooey and all rainbows and unicorns, but I was totally fine with that. This was a good way to start off my weekend, that's for sure.

This book started out good, but by about a third of the way through there was just too much head-talking and "oh poor me" going on with both the MCs. MacKenzie Locke has been engaged three times, and all three engagements fell through. She books herself and two of her friends on a retreat that's supposed to help with your romantic life. She meets Blake McKenna at the ranch (his sister is the facilitator.) MacKenzie decides to step outside her comfort zone and have a one night stand, which turns into 3 or 4 nights, then the pair go their separate ways. I got tired of MacKenzie and her soul searching, and Blake's lack of confidence - it got old and repetitious

I like this author duo but this book fell short for me.

I was kind of into it still about 40% through but the constant back and forth I hate you and the murder violence for no reason not adding anything to the story line I just got a little cheesed off with it.

I'm sad to say although this was OK, I wouldn't chose to pick this series up again.

Review: I love series and this one rates up there. The more I read this one, the more I can't wait to read the next book. I like how this series isn't just about Lucy but rather Sean too. Kane finally admits his feelings for Shibon, both minor reoccurring characters I like. This book was less about Lucy and solving a FBI case and more about Sean and his family. I'm eyeing the next book🙂

I love the humor and quirky characters in Max Monroe books. Gemma Holland is working at various temp jobs after quitting college in her senior year and now not know what she wants to be when she grows up. Well, she does actually know, but isn't brave enough to take that leap. She meets football player Leo Landry on one of her jobs, and their meeting is hilarious! Leo is new to the Mavericks and is trying to make a name for himself, but he keeps getting distracted by the girl who....you've got to read it! Seriously! This book was so much fun, and I adored Abby and Alma as well as Gemma and Leo - great read!

Review: I'm sorry to say that this one was just sorta blah. It was predictable and a bit boring. Plus I didn't really like Elle, I couldn't identify with her at all. Her issues seemed very "poor little rich girl". And if one more guy went all ga-ga over her "kickass curves" I was going to have to turn it into a drinking game. It seemed like every two sentences there was something about either her T or her A. Huge turn-off for me. But I gave it 3 stars because I liked Lord, and that's about it. Hopefully the next book in the series is better.
