Review: I am becoming a big fan of Lauren Blakely this year. So far, every book I've read has been great, and this one was no exception. I love a good bodyguard/rock star story so I was really looking forward to this, and I wasn't disappointed. These two guys were perfect for each other. I also really liked how they respected each other, and there weren't any stupid misunderstandings, just honest communication, even when things got hard. Great story. I hope she writes more MM, she's really really good at it! 😊

Last task, bittersweet isn't it?

Busy work schedules, busy home lives, participation in several challenges, Alicia's covid scare.. we did awesome to complete 25 tasks ( almost 26) Hats off team. You all rocked this.
As much as I love this challenge it will be nice to have a small break come the end on Tuesday!

I work tomorrow so I will only finish one book for this last task (we can read as many as we can) . I 'm off to bed and going to start The Two Week Arrangement- published June 4, 2019

Review: This picks up right where the first book left off, with Emma in serious jeopardy. And so the roller coaster ride begins. The action never stops as Emma and Jax struggle to find out who killed his brother. There are lots of possibilities, which just makes the tension even higher. The only thing that really started to bug me was Emma's wishy washy back and forth commitment to Jax. First she trusts him, then she's convinced they shouldn't be together, and back and forth over and over. It was exhausting. I think if I'd been Jax I'd have told her to hit the road if she was so eager to go. But other than that, this was a great suspenseful read and I had to dive right in to the third book to finish the story.

But yes, life is getting more hectic, with work and family, so a break will be nice.

3 hrs later and I am still at outpatients with my daughter. Her throat is inflamed, red, sore, low grade fever. Hopefully we see a dr soon.
She thinks tonsils, I think strep throat.

I'm sorry my work got in the way so much (and I'm still working since the tax deadline was moved to May 17th!) My current book will be finished tonight. I'll try to finish one more, but not sure if I'll get it done in time.

Thanks Sandy, hopefully it's something antibiotics will help. The nurse just came back and asked if the tylenol helped. They are putting her off from seeing the dr.. it's triage so probably someone else needed to see the dr more urgently.

It's strep... well here with covid-19 they won't do a strep test because the lab is backed up. She said it looks like strep. They are going to check for mono just in case.

Oh wow Laura, I hope she feels better. My son had mono in high school, it was terrible. Hopefully antibiotics will get her feeling better quickly.

No phone call from the lab so it's not mono. I'm sure once she has a few more doses of antibiotics she will feel better. She is a trooper. We left at midnight last night and she actually got up this morning to participate in her online classes.

She turns 16 Thursday and is a little excited because she just scheduled an interview for the weekend for a cashier position at Wal-Mart. Potentially, first job ( besides babysitting)

Kids are slow today. Lol.. I was working for my grandfather at age 10 or 11. He paid me to vacuum and dust and I was babysitting at 11. I worked for the Recreation Department as soon as I was 16. I remember spending my money on hardcover books(Doubleday), cds 💿 (remember those?) and clothes!

review: I enjoyed this book. I liked the attraction between Presley and Dom. She keeps him on his toes. Presley interns at Dom's company and is hoping to win a position after the internship is over. She pays for her younger brother 's education so is always in need of money. She falls for the boss, there is a conflict ( he thinks she slept with him to advance her career) and she is hurt, alone, uncertain if she is still his intern and OMG I knew there was a book 2 but this book... ends on a cliffhanger!!! I was invested in reading book 2 anyway but now I have to.

Thanks for asking, she is starting to feel a little better. Tonight's dose will help and by tomorrow evening she should feel even better. We teased her today and said she was better because she didn't stop talking all through supper. Lol
