okay.... I genuinely don't know how I feel about book.... 121654563 points for Koy, he didn't do a whole lot but I love him.

I wasn't super into Fable and West's romance, which was really disappointing because I was expecting it to me a lot more.. "romantic" considering this was marketed (at least to me) as a fantasy pirate romance. I disagree, it's a fantasy pirate book, the romance is very much secondary.

I did enjoy the twist that Holland was Fable's grandmama. I thought that bit was really interesting. IDK why Fable didn't immediately think of this, but the VERY SECOND I read Holland say Isolde stole the Midnight I was like... it's in her necklace.

The ending was very satisfying. I think it was wrapped up very nicely! (hide spoiler)]

I feel Zola is the good guy here and I feel like Isolde is alive and she is actually Holland, I feel like we are now at the point where everyone in the book is on her side: Saint, Zola, Clove and Koy, and maybe I feel like West is the bad guy? I didn’t like him much as the love interest but his character is very strong so maybe that means he has a part just not a good one? (hide spoiler)]

Up to ch20. Don’t think that deal will hold. I don’t trust Holland at all! While I don’t quite get the West attraction, he seems to be looking out for Fable.

Chapter 10

(view spoiler)[I have no clue what's going on! I really miss Fable's crew, too, but I like that we see some familiar faces, even if they're not friendly. There are so many interesting characters here, each with their own motivations and background - that's what makes it so confusing, but so interesting, too!
I love that someone is burning ships going after Fable - and I really hope it is for her, she absolutely deserves someone rescuing her for once! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 20

(view spoiler)[Wow, she has one messed up family! I love that West did follow her. Saint is still my favorite character, though. Somehow I have the feeling that he also does deserve someone rescuing him, even though it really doesn't seem so.
I'm happy that Clove turned out to be a good guy, too. Now, I'm ready to get back to the fun crew! The situation with Koi hasn't really been resolved, yet, either, I wonder if he will show up again... (hide spoiler)]

Isolde's death seems to have had a very big impact on everyone, and I feel like that changed some of Saint's views and ways. I agree, though some of his actions can be seen as being harsh, he still deserves people to care and help him, and because he clearly still cares about Fable. (hide spoiler)]
