That's ok, I got carried away with the planning and ended up with 4 more than I needed, lol.
Thanks Sophie!

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6397 comments Ooh, Ooh, new tasks to obsess over, LOL. Thank you. 💖

I've got a quick question-

Read a book where a character shares a name with a state of being -

Does the name "Mercy" fit?

message 103: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
Mercy certainly fits

message 104: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Hey Sophie, sorry to be a bother but since they're April tasks, shouldn't be the April BOM?

Also, I'm pretty sure the spelling should be defenestrate not defenstrate

*giggles*

Yep... I'm turning into one of those people....

message 105: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
Yes it should be the April BOM and defenestrate not defenstrate - thanks for catching those.

No matter how much I love you all, I've spent more time than I'd like sorting out the April tracking sheets for everyone today, so if you want to use those tasks can everyone please change it on their own?

message 106: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments No problem by me.

Spreadsheet fixing on a row is a bit of an ordeal.

message 107: by Zuza (new)

Zuza | 168 comments Hi Mods, after I filled in the template I noticed that the points I got for reading some book are different than the points that are shown on the March task list, for example, task 21 should be for 50 points, but the template shows 100 points .... Also total points were counted but it says I read 0 books. Plus on the Centre Leaderboard in the column "Points" next to the "Current ranking order" column it shows that I have 0 points.

Can you please take a look at it?

Many thanks :)

Done

This may be the same for everyone, but I'm off to work and can't check right now. So we will do a check later today

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
Please remember that Karen is in Australia, so her today is slightly different to the one a lot of the rest of us are in.

message 110: by Lucy (new)

Lucy | 271 comments I'm also having trouble with my spreadsheet. I thought that when I finished entering all the dates, it would fix itself but unfortunately not. It says I've read 10 books but I've read 21. The points read table is correct, just not the Book Read Category.

message 111: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
That should be fixed now.

If anyone else is having problems, sheets is funny about date formats and counting the column. Either let us know or change the formula in the box with the total to =counta from =count.

message 112: by Kate (new)

Kate (kcbond) | 643 comments In March I knew I wasn't going to make it much over 11 books so I intentionally only read 10 - shouldn't that put me into the Centre category? Or can we not read less than our selected category at the beginning? The example in the explanation confused me as to whether or not we could adjust our categories as our reading progressed from month to month. Thank you!

Thanks Sophie! It's showing up fine now.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6397 comments So with the BOM. I was too late to volunteer for the DQ's this month. But if I do the Discussion questions will that count for the 100 points instead?

If you want to move down to centre you certainly can, but that would have the 10 book limit again i.e. you are measured against the category of your highest scoring month.

Yes it will count. See you in the discussion.

Thanks so much. I'll put it on my library list asap. This challenge is addictive.. or maybe it's just me and challenges, LOL.

message 118: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Will you take defenestration or does it have to be exact? Thank you!!

message 119: by Jillypenny (new)

Jillypenny | 193 comments Hi! I signed up for Centre and read 10 books in March The system shows that my Books Read Category for March is Edge. Could you please explain why?

message 120: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
Happy Easter everyone! Sorry for the delay in responding.

Stacie - I'm ok with defenestration.

Jillypenny - that probably means one of the formulas isn't quite right. I'll check it out.

message 121: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Thanks Sophie!

Yep. April is a Ward Security re-read

message 123: by April (new)

April Raimond | 83 comments Number 30 for April says it's worth 100 points. When I added it in it only gave me 50 points.

message 124: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
I've changed the formula on April's sheet. If anyone else has a similar problem please either manually override that square or copy in this formula: =IF(ISBLANK(C12), "", IF(ISBLANK(A12), "", IF(A12="Bonus",250,IF(A12<31,100,IF(A12<74,50,IF(A12<132,20,IF(A12<170,10,)))))))

I can't face an hour changing everyone's sheets - sorry.

message 125: by Meg (new)

Meg (makeli2) Hi, Sophie: I'm suddenly unable to add additional entries to my April spreadsheet. Is there something I can do from my end to get it kick-started? Thanks!

I've just been to look and it seems you've got it sorted - the only way to edit the sheet is either the mod account or via the email address you signed up with.

Hi again: I often miss the little things and end up frustrated, in which case I back off a time (or two or three). The third time, some days after I posted here, was the charm...it seems that I got kicked out by Google (i.e., signed off) and all I needed to do was log back in! 🙄🤦‍♀️ Geez, here's to not forgetting to check that next time.

Thank you and my apologies!!!

No worries at all! Sometimes tech does the weirdest things for no reason.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 6397 comments Still really enjoying the challenge.

Read a book that has the word Garnet in the title or text. Is Garnets acceptable?

Hi Sophie,

I read 10 on purpose since I knew I wouldn't finish anymore. So yes, moving down to Centre - I just assumed it do so automatically because the books read category said centre. I must have read the rules incorrectly in terms of being in the category that we read for vs. sign up category. Sorry!

message 133: by Sophie, The other one (new)

Sophie (drsophie) | 5684 comments Mod
Unfortunately the spreadsheets aren't quite that clever (or my ability to set them up is lacking...)! I will manually move you into the centre rankings in a bit.

message 134: by Felicity (new)

Felicity Larrick | 3 comments So my attentions this month were on another challenge so I have not kept up entering my books on this spreadsheet. Do I have a couple days after today to update or is today it?

I'm going to give everyone until Tuesday realistically! I won't have a chance to look at them until then.

Thanks. :) This is what happens when you get OCD about planning books and sticking to them. Luckily I picked mostly good ones, lol!

message 139: by Louise (new)

Louise | 3330 comments Sophie can you move me up to the next category please. I originally signed up for edge but UNO had me reading more which put me up a category 😁
