Lately it's getting harder to surprise me. I remember A book called "The Other" by Tom Tryon from the 70s that had a good twist and books that I mentioned in other posts - Rebecca, Primal Fear, Hidden Fires (A Holmes Before Baker Street Adventure) all had very good plot twists, but the last one was the only recent one.
