Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Just starting on The Hobbit Or There and Back Again by Tolkien.

message 59: by Mir (new)

Mir Trying out Magic Time, although it seems to have some context I am unaware of.

message 60: by Michael (new)

Michael (keisu) I'm currently reading C.S Friedman's: Black Sun Rising, I really like what I have read so far. Especially her writing is great, she writes very beautifully. Well above the average standards.

message 61: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Finished Time of the Twins and really enjoyed it! Yesterday I satrted Odinn's Child, first book in Tim Severin's Viking trlogy. I had a good feeling about this one, but I fear it's all dwindling now. I find the writing style somewhat....strange, and though I've only read about 30 pages, the story is not that gripping...

message 62: by Mir (new)

Mir That's a funny coincidence, Sarah, I'm in the middle of Brothers Majere, which is like a prequel to Time of the Twins.

message 63: by Chris (new)

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments The funny coincidence is talking about a book called Time of the Twins a full year after the original post about it. Hehe.

Sean revived the 2009 thread for October. Ooops. Thought we had closed those so it wouldn't happen.

message 64: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wendyone) | 18 comments Just started Song of the Beast - My first Carol Berg. Only a few pages in, but I already like the writing style. Song of the Beast by Carol Berg
