Tathariell | 173 comments I just read a romance novel, and one of the side characters was Ace. I haven't seen a lot of representation in fiction, and would love to read more! Any genre is fine, romance preferable. Bonus if the main character is Ace, but I'll try it for side characters. Please only recommend books with actual characters who are Ace, not someone mentioning they heard about this person "off screen".
Spoilers are fine, it's okay if the character doesn't come out until further into the book.

All the Wrong Places
For A Good Time, Call...
Three Stupid Weddings
Squared Away
In Case of Emergency
Empty Net
Running With the Pack
Avialae

(some of these have sexually explicit scenes, but they all feature at least one main lead on the asexual spectrum)

Fani *loves angst* (fanip) | 7 comments Feral strongly implies that the hero is asexual. It belongs in the m/m romance genre.

SamSpayedPI | 2306 comments Blue Steel Chain (part of a series, though, the others of which are not ace)
Demonica (very short; more of a story than a novel)
Heartsong (again, part of a non-ace series)
His Quiet Agent
More Than Enough
The Rat-Catcher's Daughter (I admit I haven't read this one yet, but it's a prequel to Any Old Diamonds which I liked a lot)
Upside Down

Rainbowheart | 28672 comments I thought in Loveless, the MC definitely is not interested in romance?

message 8: by Gillian (new)

Gillian | 343 comments It's not the main focus of the book (not even close!), but the main character is ace in Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire if you're starved for representation (like me.)
