Nice start to the year Brandye! I've been meaning to put Firefly Lane on my TBR. The Netflix series has me intrigued!

This month I read…
How The King of Elfhame Learned To Hate Stories by Holly Black- This was a fun little addition to the Folk of the Air Series that tore through last year. Especially the parts that took place after the events of the series so you could get insight into what the characters are up to now. The illustrations that were included were absolutely gorgeous too and made this book so much more than just a short story collection.
After You by Jojo Moyes- I listened to this one on Audiobook. This was a nice continuation of the series and I loved getting to see where the characters went after the events of Me Before You. I do think I want to dive into the third after this as well.
The Trouble with Hating You by Sajni Patel- I have never read a book that read more like a bad rom-com than this book, and I mean that in a good way. It has all the best love/hate relationship troupes and enemies to lovers rom-com elements. The only bad part about it’s rom-com elements was that the dialogue felt very much that way as well and at points wasn’t great and fell a little flat. I did overall enjoy this book though.
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon- I listened to this book on Audiobook. So, in listening I could tell that this book was one with added elements (emails, notes, pictures, etc.) and I’m not sure if it’s that those elements didn’t translate well to the audiobook or if the book was just not great, but I did not like this one. At all. And I love cheesy YA romances 9 times out of 10, but this one just didn’t do it for me.
