-The main character got hurt somehow, and now his body wants to go back to the position he was hurt in, so he sleeps in this weird scrunched up position in an armchair
-Grandparent was nonbinary
-The household was Mom, Grandparent, boy and his sister
-I remember a specific scene where something had upset the boy at school, and he found a janitor's closet to sit in, and just sat in his "default position" thingie until the end of the school day, and I think a classmate finds him, and he explains why he sits like that.
