Just finished A Conjuring of Light. Still had some pacing issues and the ending was a little flat, but overall I had a good time with this series.
I finished The Emperor's Knife. It was a good solid 4 stars. I was doing the audio and the names were a little confusing at first. But once I learned them the rest was great. A very unique story. From the blond haired individuals from the north going to the desert to the "Pattern" it was all original, yet, still in the vein of what I'll call traditional fantasy. Now on to Legacy of Ash.

Oh that's our March group read.

Oops didn't realise. Well I dropped the book at almost 50%, quite disappointed since it started off very promising.
I'm picking up Six Sacred Swords and Legacy of Ash next. Hoping to have more time in Feb to read. Jan just flew past me.

Actually, February was a tie and we're reading two books, though I'm only reading one of them. March's BOM is Paternus: Rise of Gods.

Finished Crown of Stars -- really great series, albeit quite the commitment -- and decided to follow a 5,000 page multivolume epic with some vintage short stories in Appendix N: The Eldritch Roots of Dungeons and Dragons.
I finished The Blood of Olympus, final book of the Heroes of Olympus series. Some books I enjoyed more than others. This one was definitely one of my faves. The march through Rick Riordan books goes on...
Just finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Really enjoyed and going to drop into the discussion. And I'm starting Above the Timberline, which is an illustrated novel. Very beautiful artwork. Seems kind of steampunky in a wintery setting.

Finished Appendix N: The Eldritch Roots of Dungeons and Dragons (very nice collection, although I'd already read about 80% of the stories in it elsewhere) and, for something completely different, decided to dip into some nonfiction: Great Cities of the Ancient World by L. Sprague de Camp.
I can’t read non fiction I drift off. It’s causing me problems at the moment as I have 10 computer based training modules for work - they’re annual, I get to the quiz with its 80% pass rate and realised I’ve not ‘read’ a thing!
In this case, the good news is that although it's nonfiction, it reads like fiction, with much more of a narrative to it than, say, a book about coding or something.
Lol. I was pointing this out to someone in work. And he said oh you need a photographic memory. I’ll just pop out and buy one then, will I!!
Anyone not reading Legacy of Ash is.., well I won’t resort to name calling as I’m sure you can all imagine words like: numpty...

I finished Above the Timberline. Gorgeous artwork. Felt like the experience of an action movie on the pages. I wish there were more books like it.And starting yet another series, even though I probably shouldn't: Daggerspell. I feel like my reading has been all over the place lately.
Finished Mexican Gothic (big thumbs up) and decided it was time for some space opera: Revelation Space.
I finished The Eyes of the Dragon. Just so everyone will know this book is not really about dragons or even one dragon. (view spoiler) So now, I'm going to read one that actually does have dragons, The Royal Dragoneers.
I've read a few dragon-titled books lately as well that had little to no dragon. The Royal Dragoneers sounds interesting
Have you read Dragon Stones? That was so cheap on kindle and unheard of. I really enjoyed it but never come across anyone else who’s read it.

I've not heard of it. I'll have to look into.

So it turns out that I can’t fit two huge audios into a ‘working from home’ month! 3 hours of Legacy of Ssh left (about 10%). It’s SO GOOD
My wrap up for February. Completed a satisfying amount for a shorter month. A Conjuring of Light ★★★★☆
The Blood of Olympus ★★★★★
Heart of Darkness ★★
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue ★★★★★
Above the Timberline ★★★★☆
