Ikr I have like a million books that I want to read and barely any time to read the books I currently haveee
๐๐๐ I'm about to loll. I'm going to get some books from book outlet while their Black Friday sale is going on. I made a *huge* purchase last year so I'm going to try to tone it down a bit ๐๐๐
Aww, thanks Macey! I hope you had a good day as well, and I hope today is even better! How was Assassins Blade?
Thanks and happy thanksgiving! Also assassins blade was just as awesome as the first time around haha
Hey guys, I hope everyone is having a great December! I currently just finished How King of Elfhame learned to Hate Stories. I gave it a 4/5 stars and definitely recommend it, if youโve read The Cruel Prince trilogy! My current reads are: Torment by Lauren Kate, Heartless by Marissa Meyer, and rereading A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah Maas. How is everyone by the way?
I'm doing well! I took a bit of a break for a bit from reading, but I think after Christmas and the New Year I'll go back to it. I'm currently wrapping presents, or trying to. Not accomplishing much lol! How have you been?I actually had been wondering how the Elfhame book was, I'll have to give it a shot! How prequel-y is it? I'm not generally into prequels, so if I want to enjoy them I have to read them first and THEN the original content. What did you think of Heartless? I really liked the writing and such, (especially that opening, oh my goodness I loved it so much!) but I was pretty sad about the ending. (I hadn't really realized it was an origin story until the ending and it broke my heart ๐ )
Wrapping presents is definitely not my strong suit lol, but I would read the elfhame book after original content or it may be confusing (also spoils some stuff) and heartless isnโt too bad I got it spoiled for me which sucks, but Iโm loving it so far!
Lol I mean, that is the way we're supposed to read things when they have a prequel... I don't like to though ๐๐
Aww, I'm sorry Heartless got spoiled for you!
I actually didnโt know King of elfhame was supposed to be a prequel but I already read the trilogy so yea ๐
I haven't started The Cruel Prince yet but my friend who loves it also urged me *not* to read it until after the trilogy. With a lot of series prequels can be read first, although you get lots of different opinions and personally I think you should always start with the actual first book not the prequel lol, but it sound like Elfhame specifically you should really wait for.
And Heartless ahhhh. I didnt really realize it was the origin story either when I read it, so I always just decide in my head that it ends in that happy moment before it all went down hill. ๐
Yea I feel the same except for the prequel of throne of glass I was confused when I didnโt read it first lol
I'd love to hear why, Hayden! I really like it when prequels are written so I can read them before the original material, because I tend to dislike them if I read them after I read the original material. But I'm a picky person, so it might just be because of that... ๐

TOG is one of the ones with the most differing views ๐๐๐ I never recommend reading TAB first on a first read. But it just for sure has to be read by book 4 lol. So I just watched After and then immediately watched After We Collided lol and now I really want to read the books ๐
