Holly Bleh, I'm sorry Macey! That stinks... Hopefully you won't have to do that test again! 😝
How exciting! Do you have Crowns of Croswald or are you borrowing the books? Do you guys like reading books right as they come out or do you prefer to read them with the series is complete/just about to release the last book? I personally like that sweet spot of reading a series a month or two before the last one comes out, because then I still get the hype and fun, but I also don't have to wait years. πŸ˜‚
Pajama days are fantastic! πŸ€—

message 1302: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Me too, thanks!

message 1303: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick I have the first 2 books in paperback and ebook! Luckily haha. I'll have to get book 3 asap though! And ideally reading them all when a series is complete is the best, but it never usually works out like that πŸ˜‚ I always yell at myself when I start a brand new series though literally with the release of book 1. The pain haha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I feel like starting mid series is fun though because you get to a binge a bit with the first few books, and then get the fun of that anticipation for the others, without having to wait as much.

message 1304: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Bro I always like reading a new series for that anticipation and Bc I get stressed out trying to read an old series

message 1305: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly I'm glad you have the first two, lol! Haha, I'm sorry you usually end up starting just as the first book comes out... Though we need people who do that! Otherwise people might not realize to keep going with publishing the books.
Macey, you do?? Oh, I love reading an old series! Usually everyone is already over it, and that's the downside for me... πŸ˜‚

message 1306: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Yea! πŸ˜‚

message 1307: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly So then do you like the anticipation of the next book being released? What about an older series stresses you out?

message 1308: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Lol that's funny, is it because it makes you feel like you're behind everyone else?

message 1309: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Yea both of y’all are right. Idk if I’m weird but I always end up doing that πŸ˜‚

message 1310: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick I totally understand feeling like you're behind. πŸ˜… Once I joined bookstagram I really started feeling that haha

message 1311: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Me too! Lol and I’m so horribly not aesthetic that my bookstagram is bleh

message 1312: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Huh, I wonder if the feeling of being behind has anything to do with how connected to the book community you both seem to be? I get the feeling that both of you are more plugged into it than I am. Is that right, Macey?
Like, either you guys live in the city of Book Lovers or you live near enough to make frequent visits, where as I live kinda out in the country. Like, I've got a few people who I talk to about books (this chat and a friend of mine are the only two consistent sources) and sometimes I watch YouTubers talk about them, but otherwise I'm mostly on my own. So when I join a series in that perfect spot where it's about to be finished and it's got a ton of anticipation for it going on, it's like I go and stay in the city for a bit for shopping purposes or something.
But y'all seem near or in the city limits, so everywhere you turn you gotta be current to some extent in order to be up to date. You just gotta be in the know when you live there. Maybe. I'm not actually sure if that's how it is in the city of Book Lovers...

message 1313: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Oh, hello, yes, just let me just...blabber into the chat. Like a crazy person. It all made perfect sense in my head, I promise... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

message 1314: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp We do not have a bookstore where my dad lives but my mom lives in a big city and I visit her quiet often. There’s a books a million there

message 1315: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Oh, sorry, I meant internet community wise it's like you guys live in a huge city of people who talk a ton about books. πŸ˜… Does your dad live in a smaller town?

message 1316: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Oh hahahahaha omg Holly I thought you really were saying we physically lived in "cities" and I was like hmm I would call this the suburbs? hahaha. But yeah, that was exactly what my point was before! That I started feeling behind once I joined bookstagram. Because before that I used to just go to Barnes & Noble and browse for awhile and get the books I found interesting. And my TBR list was never that long. But once I joined the book community on instagram, I started constantly seeing all these different books other people were showing off, and hearing everyone in the community get excited for certain books to come out. And it's both a blessing because they've brought soo many wonderful books to my attention (Acotar and ToG!!!!) and a curse because my TBR has gotten out of control. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ But I recently asked in my caption if other people always feel behind on all the books, and everyone else does too haha. It's not like everyone else is up to date with every book they see either. :)
And what's your bookstagram name again Macey? I totally forgot you were on there. I really need to take new photos so I can post though lol I've been slow lately.

message 1317: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Oh sorry, YeA we live in a small town πŸ˜‚

message 1318: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Lol it's fine! I was blubbering incoherently like someone who needs more sleep, which I do! πŸ˜‚ Yeah, it just seems like the community is great for finding new books and having others to gush over things with, but it probably also has some drawbacks when it comes to feeling so out of control with your tbr πŸ˜…
Our town has had a book store on and off over time, but never more than one at a time and sometimes a few years between them. It's probably why I always want to stop by Barnes and Nobel when I go to the closest city. Book stores are just so fun!

message 1319: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp It’s always exciting to go into books a million Bc they redecorate once a week

message 1320: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick I didn't know Books a Million did that!!! :O How fun! I miss being able to just go to b&n and just browse and sit down for awhile to kill time. It definitely sucks to live somewhere far from a bookstore, although thankfully ordering online is easy these days. 😊

message 1321: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp That’s true but not as fun!

message 1322: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick True, it's nice to just browse a bookstore and walk around. Most times I don't even buy anything, I just like to walk around and see what's new lol

message 1323: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Mood ^^^ πŸ˜‚

message 1324: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Lolol right

message 1325: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp It’s taking me forever to read The Diviners, like I really like the book but it’s a slow read for me and it’s aggravating me! I’m trying to read 8 books this month and I’m only on book two of my August tbr :(

message 1326: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly I have to visit a books a million now. That just sounds so fun!
Wow, that sounds like a rough tbr... 😬 I hope you're able to do it and not get too stressed over it! πŸ€—

message 1327: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Yea ima just start a new book and read two at a time. It usually helps idk why

message 1328: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly That makes sense! Good luck!

message 1329: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Thanks!

message 1330: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Yeah maybe you just need a little break from it. Switching back and forth so you dont feel like you have to read too much of it might help. I hope it does! 😊

message 1331: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp That’s my thoughts! Thanks Taylor

message 1332: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Happy Wednesday, everyone! I know it's a bit late in the day, but I hope you guys had a great day so far!

message 1333: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp I thought I was dying earlier πŸ˜‚ my nose bled for about an hour and my arms and legs ended up getting covered with my blood 😭

message 1334: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Oh my goodness! That's awful! Is it just really dry there?

message 1335: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Not at all

message 1336: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Omg Macey!! How scary!! 😡 I never get nosebleeds so it always freaks me out a bit if I get one, but my brother gets them pretty often. I hope you were atleast home lol. If not, atleast it's over now loll

message 1337: by May (new) - rated it 4 stars

May Oh no ! I hope you feel ok. 😬Scarry!

message 1338: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp I rarely ever get nose bleeds either! But a few weeks ago I got a nose bleed and threw up blood, but yea I was home and I feel okay now thanks guys!

message 1339: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Omg Macey ❀❀ That must have been terrifying, glad you're okay and feeling better too!

message 1340: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick I hope you're just relaxing tonight haha you deserve it

message 1341: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp Oh yea I’m just chilling in bed. I want to read but honestly have no motivation

message 1342: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick I get that haha. So relatable. I just rewatched Emma. (2020) It's one of my new favorite movies, it just makes me so ridiculously happy. 😊 Just eating something right now, and then I'm going to watch the new episode of The 100, and then gonna watch the meteor shower later.

message 1343: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly I'm glad you're better, Macey! I get bloody noses pretty frequently, especially if it's dry, but I wonder why you're getting them all the sudden. So weird! 😬
That sounds like a lovely night plan, Taylor! Also?? I didn't know there was going to be a meteor shower!

message 1344: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick Yep! The Perseids are peaking right now. And then the next one isn't until October, and then the biggest one of the year is in December. It'll be a nice lead up to Christmas 😊🌠🌠

message 1345: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly How lovely! I'm afraid I didn't get the chance to check tonight, and I really want to just go to bed, but I'll have to try to see them at some point 😁

message 1346: by Taylor (new) - rated it 5 stars

Taylor Emerick You're usually up pretty late anyways! πŸ˜‚πŸŒ  You don't even need to stay up too crazy late. Ahhh I thought it was Friday for a moment, but it's only Thursday lol 😭

message 1347: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars

Macey Camp It’s only Thursday?? Ugh

message 1348: by Holly (new) - added it

Holly Lol yeah, I don't have to stay up any later than normal I suppose! But I was pretty tired so I just went right to bed πŸ˜‚ Ugh, I know... Why can't it be Friday..?? I'm so ready for Friday. 😝

message 1349: by Macey (new) - rated it 5 stars
