It's sooo beautiful! It has artwork inside too. Spread out throughout the book. 😍 It'll be so cool reading it with a few illustrations. And I just love this cover version way more than the normal edition, it's gorgeous!!! Haha and I know, sprayed edges are so pretty!
Haha it is. 😍 Ooo I just saw you're onto Vol 11! Did you learn the big secret about Akito then!? You're exactly where the anime is up to right now! It just covered volume 10. It's currently showing the summerhouse trip. 😍
Oh am I? Lol sweet! 😁 No, I don't think I have. Unless it's something I already knew, lol! Don't think I've learned anything new yet though! Man though, Akito just needs to chill. Like, dude... 😬
It's probably at the very end of the volume, and you haven't finished it yet. 😂 I bet it's the last few pages haha.
Ohh yeah! Don't be too disappointed but I already knew about his twist... The thought Tohru had about him was the first time I had ever considered him being anything but what he actually is 😅 Dang though, him and Momiji was intense and I want to cry again. 😭 Him, Kyo, and Yuki all break my little heart. Does this plotline know it doesn't have to tear out my heart every step of the way..? Because I'm not sure it realizes that. 💕😭💕😭
Wait it's actually vol 17 I'm thinking of, oops! So what did you just learn about Akito in 11 then? I'm not sure lolol. And I knowwww, all your emotions, right 😭😭 And Kyoo 💕
Oh, Tohru just had the realization that he probably is the god role of the group. Wait, now I really need to get on top of reading to know what twist you were talking about..??? Lol good thing I've got this weekend off work!Sweet little baby Kyo... Ugh, all of them break my heart into millions of tiny pieces. I can't handle it! 💕 Lol sometimes it feels like I'm being sucker punched in the gut! 😭💕
Yesssss! I don't think you know it, and I really hope not, because it's such a surprising moment in the series, I remember being so shocked. You're just like :O lolol. Totally u nexpected twist. Haha I know exactly what you meannnn, the emotions in this series!! 😭💕
Lol okay good! I was like, "oh shoot, maybe I wasn't suppose to know that..." Haha!Oh my lanta little Yuki crying is breaking my heart into ten thousand pieces...!!!! 😭😭😭
Please oh please let them animate the Cinderella play in the new adaptation..!!!! It's so funny, I just need to see it so bad 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I'm sure they will!! They've been sticking to the books really well, and that's a great comedy piece! 😆 Btw, where are you from? I always wonder because you always seem to comment at like 3am for me 😂😂
Lol thank goodness! Because its so funny, I just gotta see it animated! 😂 I'm from Wyoming, so those messages are also being sent pretty late 😂 I work nights so my schedule is kinda wonky lol!
Omg oh hahahha I kept thinking you were much farther than that! 😂 I'm in Minnesota so I'm only an hour ahead. That makes sense so! I'm usually up pretty late in general so. 😂 And I think I might have to catch up soon because I keep seeing how cute the parts it's up to is, and it makes me want to watch lol.
Lol! Well, a howdy from Wyoming to Minnesota! 😂 Since you comment at more regular times I figured you weren't too far away 😂 Oh I bet! So much of this is so adorable... And the other half is traumatic. I need a box of tissues for both the cuteness and the pain lol!
😂😂 Hahaha. And that's the great thing about Fruits Basket! Like people always think it's really light, and yeah it is really light and sweet and happy, but it also has a LOT of depth. The characters all go through a lot, and it's really emotional. All their poor childhoods. 😭😭 lol. You get so emotionally invested in the story. 💕 OOOO omg I just saw you started Vol 17! Big things are coming haha. You're getting closer and closer to the end too, like you're getting all the bigger developments happening now. 😍
AND you just started Scarlett!! Ahh! That one is so good! It's really great, I loved it. You're going to really like it, and then book 3 Cress is my favorite!

Lol! 14 year old me was absolutely not prepared for the feels and very much did not appreciate them being forced on her 😂😂 Man do I love it now though! Also, there is SO much happening right now that deserves mentioning in this volume and I haven't finished it?? Akito. Just...Akito. What on earth am I suppose to place this information?? Lol it's just rattling around in my head and I don't know what to pin it to! 😮😂 What on EARTH do I do with this new info?! Also, Hanajima just being there was probably the most healing thing that has happened for me. Just her going, "I am needed," and her appearing with the wind blowing her clothing majestically was just like such a thing I needed. And then the sleepover..! Another note has been Yuki? Because that dear child has grown and I adore him. And also his older brother being ridiculous and begging him not to die..? Carrying him away to Hatori too. I just... 😂
And yes! I did just start Scarlett! Lol does the next book add another character POV? For someone I don't know yet? Lol Ive had Scarlett rented since I finished Cinder but I started it and it starts with a new character. And I was like, "I don't know you and I didn't know I'd have to see things through a new person's eyes. I'm going to need some time to accept this." 😂 Because I'm ridiculous when it comes to that sort of thing😂😂😂
FINALLY AHHH. It sounds like you finally found out that big secret about Akito!! It totally changes your perspective right?! You're like wait a minute.. this whole time.. !? 😂😂 CRAZY. And yesss I love Hana, I love everything you just said! Yuki and Ayame always make me laugh soo much, he's just so ridiculous. 😂And yes! Each book adds a new character to the ongoing story. So you start with Cinder, and then Scarlett comes into the story, and then Cress, and then Winter. They each get their own book in a sense, where each one has their romance, but all their stories are still ongoing throughout the series. It's super fun because they're just a big group of friends. It might start with Scarlett because they're introducing her, but you go back to Cinder, and eventually they also meet up. It's SOO good. I was actually in the opposite situation because my sister told me each book was a different character but for some reason I thought they were standalones, so then I was really excited and surprised when I realized they were all one big connected series! 😂
OMG WAIT YOU ALREADY DID AND YOURE ALMOST DONE YAYYY. Cress is my favorite, I can't wait for you to read that one.
And the Akito thing does change things! I just can't figure out in what way or what to do with this change 😂 And as I've started the next volume, Yuki totally has my heart constantly. I just love that boy. 😭💕Lol yes! I finished Scarlett tonight, in fact! 😂 It was really good! I'm not too sure I have a ton of a grasp on Scarlett's character though, outside of her love for her grandma, though. But I'm sure I'll get to know her as a person in the next one. And lol it might take me a hot minute to start Cress, but I promise I will! Eventually. Aside from not knowing what to do when the story is following new characters without alerting me to it happening, I have a few other audiobooks checked out that I need to listen to before they get returned lol. But I will get to it! 😂
😂😂😂 I know how you feel ahah it's such a shock! Ugh Yuki is so pure 😭💕 It's impossible not to love our two boys 😭💕 You'll definitely get to know her better as the books go. Cress I really, really enjoy though. Both her character herself, and her book's whole plotline. The developments are great! And lots of Thorne and lots of cute romance ahhh. Lol but I totally get it! Make sure you have a chance to finish your rentals before they're gone lol!
Make sure you tell me when you start it! 😄 Which audiobooks are you trying to get to in the mean time?
I finished one, City of Ghosts, and I have Into The Drowning Deep and The Phantom of the Opera. I checked out Cress and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes at the same time, so hopefully I'll get through all of them before they're returned... 😂
Ohh I need to get a copy of that, tBoSaS! There's several books that came out over the last 2-3 months I still need to get copies of. I need to read that, plus Crescent City, and I'm blanking on the 3rd one right now. Oh also Bone Crier's Moon. But I feel like theres another too haha. Idk maybe those are the 3. But I feel like itll definitely be a good book haul when I finally get them haha 😂😍
I'm going to hold off on getting a physical copy of tBoSaS because I'm not too sure I'll love it just yet. I wasn't super excited about the premise, but I'm still willing to give it a shot! I seriously can't wait for the day I get my hands on a copy of Bone Crier's Moon. It's so gorgeous! Hmm, I feel like you mentioned another book at some point or another that you were excited for coming out but I can't seem to remember what it might have been! Still, it sounds like it will be a fantastic book haul! 😍 (When you get around to buying more books 😂)
Yesss!! The cover of Bone Crier's is goooorgeous! So beautiful! A lot of people got excited for it because of the cover artist Charlie Bowater, but I was a big fan of the author already from her previous series, the Burning Glass trilogy, which was her first book series. I feel like she's great at creating new worlds/ interesting magic systems. And I know what you mean, a lot of people were annoyed it's about Snow. 😂😂 But at the same time, I see why it's a million times more interesting then just doing a book about a different Hunger Games like Haymitch's, because you're just reading about a hunger games event...again. So this gives something very new to the story. I know, I'm stumped. 😂
-Crescent City
-Bone Crier's Moon
-The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
-maybe it's because I'm anticipating Midnight Sun
-Ohohoh I'm also looking forward to Season of the Storm! It comes out on the 23rd! I'm really excited about the premise of that one.
Then I really hope you like it!! I haven't read any of her works before but it sounds pretty interesting! Yeah, well, hopefully The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is good anyway! I'm not too fond of villain backstories though, so I guess we'll see! 😁I looked at Season of the Storm and it sounds super interesting! 😍
Also?? I just binge read Fruits Basket, up until about half way through the 23rd volume. I have cried so many years. So many. And also, I got to thank you for encouraging me to read it because it has made me so incredibly happy it hurts lol! I just love them all so much... All of them... Ugh, and I'm tearing up again... The stuff with Akito and everyone in their various different locations just starting to cry..??? I'm broken. I am a broken hearted girl. I feel as though I've been gutted. 😭❤😭❤😭❤😭❤
AHHHHH YOU ARE ALMOST DONE!!! But also I'm so late in responding so you PROBABLY ARE DONE hahaha. DIDN"T YOU JUST LOVE IT!? 😭😭😭 This is why it's my favorite manga series to this day, it's just SO satisfying and makes you so happy and the ending is so so well done. 😭 💕💕 And ohohoh which author have you not read before? The author for Crescent City or for Bones Crier's Moon? And oops! I meant Seasons** of the Storm, I hope I didn't throw you off lol. That book sounds so good though, where the seasons have to kill the previous ones for their season to start, and two of them fall in love :OO I'm excited haha. Plus I've always really loved Jack Frost so that added element really interests me.
BTW. I just started reading my copy of Sandcastle Empire, and I remember you bought yourself that recently! I'm looooving it so far! It's really intriguing and mysterious, and it was the perfect choice right now because I've been in such a beach mood and it's the perfect beachy mood read.
ooo that's so exciting to hear! I don't have a copy of that yet, but I'll definitely read it eventually!
I absolutely loved it!!!! It was sooo good! I cried soo hard too, so it made me have to drink more water than normal 😂 I can totally see why it's a favorite!!!!! 😭😭😭💕💕💕💕I've never read anything by either author, actually, though I'm a bit more excited about the author of Bone Crier's Moon since I can't say I've heard of her. And lol! I actually looked up Seasons of the Storm and still didn't add the 's'! 😂 It really is an interesting concept, and did you see the art someone made for them in the reviews?? They added it as a TBR and added artwork for it! I think it said the art was done by someone else, but it still intrigued me!
Oh I'm so glad!!! I forgot I had it momentarily because I couldn't see it but then I remembered it's behind a stack of books... Lol! I was really hoping it had that vibe, that's one of the reasons I grabbed it! I feel like I heard a lot of people didn't love it. I figured it still deserved a shot though. So I'm glad you're enjoying it! 😁
YES!!!! 😭😭😭💕💕💕💕 And omg well you should definitely read the series from Sarah J Mass! A Court of Thorns and Roses; and Throne of Glass. I really like Kathryn Purdie's writing, but SJM is by far the better writer. Her mastery of plot and character development is insane, everything is so intricately woven together. She makes surprise connections so fun.
And lolol well atleast you found the right book!! I'm so excited for it, it sounds so unique and fun! And omg no I haven't seen the art! I'm going to have to go check now!!
Lol and yes!! It's interesting because it's a dystopian world which encourages the characters to escape from where they are, and end up at this island, and the island isn't what they expected. There's actually supposed to be a bit of a scifi element to it, which I'm just getting into now which is so interesting. I have no idea what's going to happen lol. I'm definitely loving the ocean/island setting because I needed that beachy feel right now lol.
AND OMG YOU JUST READ CRESS AHHH YAYYYY!!! 😍😂💕💕
Honestly, I only now have found out that Throne of Glass and Court of Thorns and Rosess were not the same series. I'm not entirely sure which one it was, but one of them sounded like a romance that would make me quite upset, so I've never felt the urge to read it lol. I don't know which one it was though...Lol! Yeah. I thought it was cool!
Ugh, it sounds so lovely... You'll have to tell me how it is! I remember I got it because it's a dystopian but the cover gave me such a different feeling that I just had to get it lol!
I did!!!! Wow, a lot happened! Good grief... You know, I didn't really like Thorne until like the end half of this book? He's grown on me quite a bit though! Lol I think Cress forced me to accept him...Lol! Also?? Poor Wolf. And Scarlet. The angst is REAL. 😭
Omg sorry for not responding until now LOL. And you're definitely thinking of ACOTAR. Both have lots of amazing romance, but while acotar is more romance driven, ToG is much more heavily plot driven. I feel sure I know what spoilers you heard, but trust me, everything is written and developed so well in the story. It feels so right how it ends up. Everything unfolds so well. I recommend both so much! Acotar is one of my favorite series ever because of the romance, and ToG because of the incredible, complex plot weaving! And omg hahaha I always loved Thorne, but when he gets together with Cress!? Ahh *swoon*!! But also ahhhh I saw you read The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! I haven't gotten it yet, how did you feel about it?
Lol it's fine! How have you been? 😂 Hmm, I'll have to check out ToG, but I'm not too sure about ACOTAR 😅 I'm afraid it has one of the key things I avoid in romantic fiction, so I think rather than being upset I'll just have to pass 😬 I'll have to give ToG a look though! Oh my goodness, Winter is 23 and a half hours long!!! Like, dude, that's... Wow... 😲 Lol I am so going to have to get on top of that if I want to finish before it returns.... 😂 Ah, TBoSaS... I didn't like it... I mean, it was okay, Suzanne Collins still is a good writer, and she still excels at tying things together. If it weren't supposed to be a prequel to THG I would have just felt neutral about it, but for me it just tied things together too much. That being said, I could see why other people might like it, and actually, my coworker loved it. So still give it a try!
