Which ones have you liked before? Some of my absolute favorites are Acotar, Throne of Glass, Caraval, and The Lunar Chronicles.

Lol Hasi! And yeah The Night Circus is fantasy! I haven't read it yet, but people are obsessed with it, it's supposed to be very magical and fun. Caraval is recommended for people who loved TNC because they both have a fun circus aspect.
The Night Circus is a very pretty book, but I'd say it gets pretty slow at times and I wish they showed a bit more of the main character's developing relationship. Otherwise, it is a super gorgeously written book!
Hey, just gonna ask a question to my fellow adults, if you know what I mean.I have to read a book for this school project but it's super boring and I can't seem to get into it. How do I get through it?
Oh, and thanks Taylor for finding me funny! :)
Lol 😂 Which book is it? I would just try to read it a little at a time so you don't get burnt out on it.
Just the books I'm looking forward to! Really excited for War by Laura Laura Thalassa and Crescent City by Sarah J Maas.
Omg I saw you were reading it, but I didn't know it was the first time!! It's not the best writing, but I still love it. ENJOY THE READ. 😂 I hope you love it, the books get better too!
😂😂😂Omg ahahahaha when you put it like that😂😂😂🙈💀💀💀 He's scared he's strong he'll hurt her and lose control and stuff, but she wants to try anyway. Lol that's too funny!! I kind of want to reread them now 😂
Thanks for the encouragement!I have to finish the book by next week which wouldn't have been a problem if I didn't think the book was boring.
Now that I've read a lot more of it the book isn't as boring anymore!
The book I'm reading is "The Book Thief"
Please don't hate on me for not enjoying it in the beginning T_T
Speaking of Twilight, I actually have the entire series because I got them as free books from the library but I haven't gotten around to reading them in fear of my English teacher scolding me for reading such... steamy novels lol.
Should I try them? After I finish "The Book Thief" of course.
I just want to mention how fun it is to come back to Goodreads and see your guys' conversations!
I'm glad you're enjoying them more now!! And lolllll they are not steamy novels 😂😂😂 They're very much Young Adult. They do talk about sex and do it and what not with book 3 and 4, but the series isn't like that. 😂 I think you'd get more of the "oh twilight? *rolls eyes*" type of judgemental reactions lol. But I'd definitely say to give them a try! They're just a fun read.
And I really like following this convo too!🤗
Lol, y'all are making me want to read Twilight! I haven't read it before either, but now I'm kind of interested... 😂And I don't blame you for having trouble with the beginning of The Book Thief! Honestly, I kind of had trouble with the beginning too. I did eventually start enjoying it though, so hopefully, you do too! And if not, I could totally understand why. 😊
Lol you should Holly! It's an addicting romance, it's fun to read. Haha we should just all read them at once. 😂 I haven't reread them in years and years, but I really loved the story. I've always loved vampire stories though. And The Book Thief is a heavy book for sure, but I remember closing that book when I finished and literally being like "this is my absolute favorite book ever" because it was so good.
Lol Twilight has been added to my TBR! 😂Oooh! If you get aroumd to reading The Darkest Part of the Forest and The Hazel Wood, you gotta let us know how they are!!!
Caraval!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ And I have The Hazel Wood but there are a lottt of mixed reviews on it, it definitely seems like one of those either you love it or hate it boooks.
Caraval though!❤
Yeah, I've noticed The Hazel Wood doesn't have a super consistent track record... I'd still like to hear your thoughts though! 😁 On the other hand, I haven't seen anyone talk about The Darkest Part of the Forest.Caraval!!!!
Ooh! I always love new book recommendations! So I think I might get around to Twilight after The Book Thief, but who knows, maybe I'll pick up something like Caraval...?
The writing for Twilight is not the best, but I still loved the story. It's easy to hate on it just because it's Twilight, but it's still a pretty good series. Each book gets better. I honestly want to reread now!And I saw you started Caraval, I was literally going to comment that I was excited you started it already! 😂
Caraval honestly quite charming! I wasn't too into the sister though, (suddenly spacing her name!) so I wasn't sure I'd like the rest of the series. Have you read all of them, Taylor?
Caraval was honestly quite charming! I didn't like the sister though, (I'm spacing on her name!) So I wasn't sure I'd like the rest of the series. Did you read any of the others, Taylor?
Scarlett! I didn't have a problem with her, but the second book mainly follows her sister Tella, so a lot of people who didn't love Scarlett end up loving Legendary a lot better! Tella's pov is really really fun. And just in general, book 2 becomes so much bigger and better! I just still need to read the last one. I think you'd really like book 2 though. :)
Unless you mean you didn't really like Tella? Which is funny because from Caraval, I didn't particularly like her, I wasn't sure how I felt about her. But I really quickly fell in love with her pov in Legendary. I realized how much you dont really know her in Caraval, especially since a lot of what happened was an act.
Tella! That's the sister! Yeah, I wasn't too fond of Tella in Caraval but I had no problems with Scarlett. If Tella becomes more likeable in Legendary I might have to give it ago then!
Neither was I, but I realized you really don't even know her from Caraval at all. And Scarlett and Julian are still there, too. Definitely read it, it is so much better than Caraval!
I shall have to try Legendary! At some point. I'm wanting to try to read the books I own before I check out any others from the library or buy more, so we'll see how this goes. 😝Lol! Apparently, we could start a club of people who have read/are reading Caraval who don't like Tella! 😂
But Katie all you read was Caraval right? Guys I'm telling you, I didn't like Tella from book 1 but then I realized you literslly don't know Tella in book 1. Nothing she does is really what Tella is like. You only meet her a few times and she's always purposefully acting to try to get Scarlett first to escape with her and head to Caraval, and then for what needs to happen within the game at the end. Trust me, you don't know what Tella is like AT ALL yet. Legendary really opened my eyes letting me actually meet her and now I love her. Her romance in book 2 OMGGGGG. I think I like it better than Scarlett's loll.
And I just think it's funny that we keep almost reading the same things😂😂 We could start a book club for reading the same things hahaha Twilight, Caraval,etc..😂
Lol ugh, I'm gonna have to read Legendary so I don't hold such a grudge against Tella 😂😂😂And we COULD pretty well start a book club for reading the same things! 😂
Lol ugh, I'm gonna have to read Legendary so I don't hold such a grudge against Tella 😂😂😂And we COULD pretty well start a book club for reading the same things! 😂
I really need to reread book 1 and 2 so I get the full experience of book 3. Not sure when I'm going to read it yet though😂
I just saw, and you rated it only 3 stars 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Lol question are you just a harsh rater? Cause I'm surprised you rated it so low, but some people are really specific about their numbers. I hope you start Legendary really soon though!!
Lol I also think I rated it 3 stars... I can be a pretty harsh rater though! 3 for me is my go-to for "I probably won't reread it, but I'm not upset I spent my time reading it to begin with". Did you enjoy it, Katie?
Lol I totally get that rating system! 😂😂 Caraval didn't keep me up late desperate to know what would happen next either. What's your rating system, Taylor? Lol you seem much kinder with your rating than we are! 😂
Ahahaha I hate when people rate that harshly 😆 Because to me a 3 means you didn't really like it, that it was a very meh book and that drags down a book's overall rating a lot even though you're saying it was actually pretty good. I'm a really kind rater though because in general I feel that people judge a lot of things too harshly, or only those that disliked rate things the most, and I'm just really easy to please with books. 😂 I guess because I know what I like so I don't really read much that I dislike either. Sometimes I just don't rate things if I'm unsure.
But I definitely was addicted to Caraval and stayed up really late into the morning reading it lol! But like you'll hear from everyone, Legendary is a whole lot better. It just feels more expansive and the plot is really fun.
Also I'm just impressed how many books you go through Katie 😆 Everytime I log on my feed says you've started another book! 😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
What else do you want to read?? 🤗 I have so much I want to read but haven't been able to really get through them because of this slump. But reading a lot is such a wonderful feeling!!
So I've gotten a lot of books recentlyish from Black Friday especially. A lot of the books I want to read include Sorcery of Thorns, A Curse so Dark & Lonely, Name of the Wind, The Accident Season, A Darker Shade of Magic, etc. There's a lot, but those are the most on my mind right now.
Me too! I read the first page 2 weeks ago and almost started it because i was already so interested!
