I read a book in 2003-4 when I was 9-10 (very different time to do today apparently) about a young girl who met another girl. The other girl was strange and also started to set fire to things. I feel like the name Poppy may have been involved but I am not sure. The story is about their intense relationship as one girl grows more wary of the other. The book was black with gold writing on the front. The cover art was of an eye with flames reflected in it. Any help would be appreciated.
