Can you add the read dates when you get a minute please Anubha? Thanks. Also, add the books to your UNO shelf.
Anubha wrote: "Also can you inform how many cards are left except the claimed cards for this month?"Please let me know if you can't/don't want to read your claimed colour cards below. We have one unclaimed WD4 - It could repeat any of the green cards or 4 Blue.
1 Green - Celia

3 Green - Anubha
9 Blue - Lindsay
WILD DRAW 4 - 8 Blue - Jessamine

Otherwise we have 27 more cards to fill for the regular UNO, and 40 for the mini-challenge. And more than 2 full weeks to do it in. :D No problem all!
Jennifer wrote: "Allison Ann wrote: "
Green? What does everyone think?"
I will read it"
If you want to, it will work for 1 Green for the WD4. :D
Romance readers - there's a historical romance author named Courtney Milan who we can link to our mini-challenge book.

I am 75% done with my first Green 1, and I plan to read the other next week.
The hand books and mini challenge books can overlap, so potentially we only have 40 left if they all work, right? "Books used for this mini challenge do not need to be separate books for what you are claiming for your UNO hands."
Celia wrote: "Allison Ann wrote: "Please let me know if you can't/don't want to read your claimed colour cards below.Otherwise we have 27 more cards to fill for the regular UNO, and then 40 for the mini-challe..."
Thanks Celia. In theory, if every book that we read now counts for the mini, then we are 40 books from finishing the month. :D

All of those books will work Anubha. If you have finished any of them in the last 11 hours, then please check to see if they will work for our mini. :D
Allison Ann wrote: "Romance readers - there's a historical romance author named Courtney Milan who we can link to our mini-challenge book."I'll see if my library has some of her books!

Just a little mid month checkup. These are books claimed on the tracking spreadsheet. Some are currently reading, some are still TBR. I know some of you have updated me already, but I want them all in one place. If you are no longer interested in reading a claimed book, please let me know. We will have plenty, no one has to read something they are no longer interested in. :DJessamine Lee -

Jane wrote: "Allison Ann wrote: "Just a little mid month checkup. These are books claimed on the tracking spreadsheet. "I should also finish mine. I've got the Danish version waiting for me at the library."
Thanks Jane. If you could give us some ideas for links when you finish, that would be great. Also, please add your Champagne book to your UNO shelf when you get a minute. Thanks again.

Everyone is so helpful in this group. :D
Jennifer, I just added your last book The Four Winds to our spreadsheet, sorry it got lost in the mini-challenge brouhaha. :D You've already read 200% of your monthly estimate! Way to go and thanks.
Allison Ann wrote: "Anubha wrote: "Oh and the finish date for all the four books is 14/2/21"Thanks Anubha, do you know with the time difference if you finished them after the mini started?"
I finished them and marked them read on GR around 7:30 p.m. on New Delhi (Indian) time. Do you want the New York time? The time difference is 10 hrs and 30 minutes. So while it was 7:30 p.m. here, it must be about 9 a.m. there.

We are 48 hours into no power at my house in Houston. No end in site plus now the water is gone. Will update my books when I can. Y’all stay safe.
Oh Jennifer, you stay well too. Hope your utilities come back soon. I feel so bad when people who aren't used to my weather get my weather. :D
So teammates, regarding the mini-challenge, sounds like some of our links might end up being too tenuous, (ie. MPG Fiction is too broad), so hopefully Jane will finish the book soon and give us some possible links. I read the book so long ago, that it is fuzzy in my mind. I did some remembering and digging though. Possible links - the professions of the MCs - doctor, professor, painter. Another one changes professions often. There's a wedding, the breakup of a marriage, lots of infidelity, some romantic stalking. The MCs move to a different country. There are deaths in a car accident. A suicide attempt.
I just picked it up from the library this afternoon (both the Danish and the English edition) No reading today and might not tomorrow but I'll see if I can get to it on Friday.
Allison Ann wrote: "So teammates, regarding the mini-challenge, sounds like some of our links might end up being too tenuous, (ie. MPG Fiction is too broad)..."Heh heh, I wondered :P

Could those work as connections?
And for A Torch Against the Night could the connection be: average rating above 4.0? I think I saw you use that in the spreadsheet.

Is your power back on Jennifer? :DDon't forget to put the books on your UNO shelf when you have a minute. Thanks.
Allison Ann wrote: "Is your power back on Jennifer? :D"Thank goodness yes! However, it's rolling. No water. If we had it we have to boil it. Grocery stores are cleaned out and no gas. We are above freezing here and maybe the sun will come out. :-)

Also, I don't remember if there is actually a divorce in The Unbearable Lightness of Being, I think the men just keep leaving their wives for younger mistresses. Maybe I should just reread the damn book. :D

From the synopsis, it sounds like the MC leaves Korea and follows a man to Japan, is this right? Because that's how I linked it to our mini.
