Laura Eberly | 2 comments Nonfiction, unsure if this is a children's book or not

One chapter was about testing the ways to eat an ice cream cone to minimize drips. It concluded that you should spin the cone as you eat it to catch any melting.

Another was the best way to get ketchup out of a glass bottle. It concluded that you should make a motion like you were going to slam the bottle on the table but stop before you hit it to let the ketchup continue onto your food.

I've been searching for a book from around 1998 or so for ages! I remember reading it in a Borders bookstore in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, casually while I was waiting for my mom to do something. Someone walked by with a t-shirt of my middle school and I recognized it. So, I was old enough to be left alone and was older than early middle school so that's why I estimate 1998 or so, give or take a few years. It was so important to me that I had one of those "flashbulb" memories about it. Too bad I didn't buy the book! I've asked countless libraries, bookstores etc over the years, and searched extensively online (LOC, Amazon, Google, and Google Books) with no success. Whoever finds this book for me will be a legend in my mind. I'm now a professional tester so this book was influential in my life! Thanks in advance!

Laura, do you recall the cover image? Are there photographs or hand-drawn illustrations in the book?

I added a few details to the header/topic title. You can update it by clicking the small "edit" link after the header. This only works on the full Desktop website - not the Mobile website or app. (On the Mobile website, click the "Desktop version" link at the bottom of the page.)

Laura Eberly | 2 comments Thanks so much for updating the heading for me! I don't remember if it had illustrations or anything about the cover. I was sitting in a chair by the bookshelves and just picked it up, so the cover drew me in somehow. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help more!
