I haven't posted much at all on GoodReads for over a month. I was trying to read too many books at the same time towards the end of April and was trying to finish all of them by the end of the me month back then that I just got burned out for a while and my health problems have been acting up quite a bit during the time that I haven't posted. I haven't really read any thrillers since finishing Without Remorse at the beginning of this month. I recently started reading a compilation of detective stories from the nineteenth and early twentieth century, which I am close to finishing.

Um I've been around, but by the time I've blogged, written reviews [normally catching up with them in a block lot] I tend to run out of time on here, pc in general. So I've recently gone through groups and found myself in groups I wouldn't have been in, can people add me in groups? anyway, I have taken the time to leave most of them one by one and concentrate on the 4 I like and nearest to my interest, this is one of them

I was a regular user of Goodreads for awhile, but then took some time off to start a new job and become a mom! Now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. :)

I’m a thriller fan and this is the best group......you are stuck with me
Janet wrote: "Hehe Sue!! 😀😁"HI Janet. Finished all my Christmas shopping online. And now I am stuck in with all the deliveries. Trying to catch up on my Netgalley books to read and review. Are you all ready for Christmas?
Sue
I have been super busy with my business and another part time job. Sometimes life just gets in the way of all the hours I would love to spend reading.l
I’ve been lurking. So busy reading books by the time I get in here it’s sort of catch up for me. But I is here🤪
Hey! Last week I drove over to Spokane (3 hours) to pick up two cases of Green Chili Salsa Verde at Trader Joe's. Got a free night (plus upgrade) and the wonderful Lusso hotel. Visited the Manito Gardens up on Lincoln Hill. Fantastic place. Without doing any research it appears that Lincoln Hill must rise close to a thousand feet is a (hopefully) extinct volcano cone. Then another three hours (yawn) back to my little valley in Montana. That's it. I'm never leaving here again (until the 40 bottles of salsa are eaten).
I haven't posted anything in this group for around a year. I was trying to read too many books at a time and along with my health problems acting up, I was having something like a burn-out and didn't post much in any of my Goodreads at all. A couple of months ago I stepped back and looked at how many books I was trying to read at the same time. I finally decided to start reading one book at a time and I have now got to where It shows I'm reading three books, one of them being the Bible and another a compilation of books ofmsteries that are in the Public Domain and the book that I'm presently reading and still keeping at my Goodreads goal for the year.
A friend came over in her boyfriend's car on Aug 1st, and drove into our house. She had parked on the diagonal and my husband asked her to pullup the car on our double width driveway, to make room for another person coming over shortly. I had just gone in the house for a second with the dog...when I heard this loud bank to our house...and strong gas smell. She is an inexperienced driver, who must of stepped full blast on the gas instead of the break. I ran to the door, and I saw the air bag had released, strong gas (as she had hit the gas meter) and she was screaming. I ran in and called 911. We had fire, police , ambulances at the scene right away. We all had to move to the street from about 8:30 Pm. (when it happened) until 1:00A.M., as the gas was turned off, the car had to be towed and the gas company had to put in a new gas meter. My girlfriend went to the hospital for X-rays but was released later with a brace for her knee and crutches.Yesterday, I called our insurance company, as there is major damage to the house. The brick at the front is all cracked, the garage door frame attached to the house, is all pulled, the garage door opener doesn't work, our front windows don't open. What a day! Naturally no time for reading as had the adjuster and contractor at the house yesterday, boarding up what was open ,as don't want any leaks in the basement. The structural engineer comes over on Tuesday, as Monday is a holiday here. Lots of work ahead.
Omg..... Just glad all are ok, Sue. Look after yourselves and I hope that repairs are carried out as soon as.

A tough break Sue. But, if you're a writer it's a great start to a thriller: was the 'accident' not an accident? was the driver targeting someone in the house or herself? Was she on drugs?... They say you can get something from everything.

Took a break, because of all the virus related discussions.Don't want to read about it every day in groups.Have to read the papers anyway.

I know you have mentioned in two threads...
I know the virus is awful
But with over 200- 300 posts, not mentioning the virus.
Only ONE is for the virus and the important news people are sharing, and also many PM asked me to add one, which I did.
The thread just shares the truth and facts from each country.
But I have added lots more movies posts, and it has been very quite, I thought that would help members talk/read more on cheerful posts.

Yes,it's the only thing happening in the world right now.Of course people will talk about it.I have no problem with that, but I need a break from that.
Sadly I know, and I hope reading is helping many, it is me, I am reading at least 2 books more a month and keeping very busy.
But it is hard to get away from but I try to add the bad news in only that thread... LOL
Plus adding an Elvis Presley thread soon in films...
And I do understand, the escape

I do try to pop in now and then. I miss so many of you when I don’t read the posts on here.Since moving to MO., my body has simply fallen apart. So many problems, I can barely keep up with dealing with me. It’s a PITA!
I still only read at night, so I am slow but steady reader. I have just finished The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom, and the sequel Glory Over Everything. I just hope and pray there will be a #3. What fabulous books. Have any of you read?
When I get some free time, I hook.......I am a hooker......a rug hooker😍 and I cross stitch. So little time —- so many things to do.
So howdy to all the early members and hello to all the new folks. I miss the daily babble. This is certainly the best group on Goodreads 💋💋💋 I need to do better so I can follow along again.
I miss you....
I do have fond memories of my "older" members, "earlier" members
You helped to build the group, helped me at the start....
You know who you are Christine, Ter'e, Irene, Perri, Brenda, Sue, all still members.
So happy to have you all here....

Sorry to hear about your health struggles, Ter'e. It can't be easy with everything else going on. Glad you've discovered some good books!

Ter’e, it’s so great to hear from you! I remember all the stress and excitement you had during that move. I hope things are better for you in spite of the physical ailments. Still hooking must mean your hands and eyes are in good shape!
This past year has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. A tragic loss. An exciting new book, soon to be released and recently reviewed by Publishers Weekly! Although I don’t always (okay, seldom!) respond, I enjoy reading many of the posts and do my best to check in regularly. Wishing all a happy 2023!
Like D.B., I may not post too frequently but I do read many of the posts. The reason I haven't been around much recently is because, not having had a holiday for over three years (Covid!) I've just been on a long one!
Yes my wife and I had covid for the first time this Christmas, as well as chest infections, my wife also had blood clots and PE.
A tough time
Good to know many loyal members are still around in the background
