So ... will your borrowed books fit my other challenge?

Oh damn it, I'm going to join in, mostly because it will get me reading 'those' books I've been meaning to read off the shelves so that others can take their place (I'm generally good at reading books from the first that came to me on BC Mt TBR but terrible for those others that have sat on my shelves for a long time). First however, I've got to finish 1 book for another BCer to receive next [COMPLETED] and 2 books that are brand new that I've been dying to read (The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins [COMPLETED] and Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline [COMPLETED).
So
Resolution #1
Magi: The Quest for a Secret Tradition by Adrian G. Gilbert [COMPLETED]
[I've had this in my possession so long that I'd almost forgotten why I wanted to read it. It must be time]
Resolution #2
Tales from the Tower Volume One: The Wilful Eye [COMPLETED]
Tales from the Tower Volume Two: The Wicked Wood [COMPLETED]
[I ordered both of these new from a catalogue at work in 2010/2011 but never read them. I think ten years later I should]
Resolution #3
1. The PowerBook by Jeanette Winterson [COMPLETED]
2. The Testaments by Margaret Atwood [COMPLETED]
3. Dewey by Vicki Myron [COMPLETED]
4. Dancing Girls by Margaret Atwood [COMPLETED]
5. The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants Official Scrapbook [COMPLETED]
6. The Devil Wears Prada - Lauren Weisberger [ABANDONED on pg127 as it was awful - movie is better!]
7. The Alchemist - Michael Scott [COMPLETED]
8. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies - Jane Austen & Seth Grahame-Smith [COMPLETED (but should have abandoned)]
9. Booky Wook 2 - Russell Brand [COMPLETED][which means I will have to read 'My Booky Wook' [COMPLETED] first, even though I received it later]
10. The Bone Clocks - David Mitchell [COMPLETED]
Right now I'm considering myself lucky. I've only been a member of BookCrossing for a few years so my BC Mt TBR isn't as high as my 'other books' Mt TBR.
OK let's do this!

Are you asking if you only have to do 1 out of the 3 to complete the challenge? If so, then the answer is no. The challenge is all 3 parts, not just one of them.

Edwina, I thought this was like the monthly challenges, but I figured out that it was all three of them throughout the year. Not a problem as it helps me focus on getting some of the earliest registered books moving.
Having said that, I do have a question about No. 2. Sequel or series? I can do either, but need your expertise. ;)

I'm up for it!

Thank you. I can do that. I have a book and its sequel as well as a trilogy. Either way, I think I figure it out.

Resolution #1 Spook by Mary Roach (F)
Resolution #2 Morality for Beautiful Girls by Alexander McCall Smith (No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency #3) (F)
Resolution #3
01. The Barbara Pym Cookbook--Hilary Pym (F)
02. In the Time of the Butterflies--Julia Alvarez (F)
3. Wickett's Remedy--Myla Goldberg (F)

10.

1. Read a book that you have been meaning to get to for a long time but for some reason, you haven't. (The time is now!)
O Jeruzalem by Larry Collins
Took it home with me from a meeting because I was (still am) interested in the history and the how and why of the Middle East, especially the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It's been in my possession since 2012. *Shame*!
2. Read a book and its sequel or the sequel to a book that you've already read ... or both.
That's a hard one. I Have a few that qualify for that challenge. First there's the fantasy series Night Watch by Sergey Lukyanenko, of which I've read part one and the other three are on TBR.
And second there's James Clavell's Escape, the sequel to Whirlwind. The latter I read years ago. A brick of a book, the needs rereading before I can get to Escape. So... undecided yet.
3. Sort your BC shelf by To Be Read, then select - Others, In Hands, Recently Released, Ascending - that should show you the books sent to you by other BCers that have been on your shelf the longest.
From the first 2 pages read at least 10 of those books.
10 is your goal but the more, the merrier!
The book on spot #1 is the book I picked for the first one of these challenges. So 10 others to pick.
1. Coming Up for Air by George Orwell
2. Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham
3. Restless by William Boyd
4. My Side of the Story: Trouble at the Mill by Philip Wooderson
5. The Quincunx by Charles Palliser
6. Caravans by James Michener
7. The Tenderness of Wolves by Stef Peney
8. Aan de grond by Kirill Gradov
9. Los Alamos by Joseph Kanon
10. Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber

The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer by Jennifer Lynch is the one I'm reading now. It is the same kind of book as The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn by Robin Maxwell that I pledged to read beforee the end of March (BookTube challenge that I discovered on Instagram). So... Not such a good start for me. But hey, the year's still young!
