14. FINISHED 8/1/21 ** Short Horror Stories Vol. 9 by.Kathryn St. John-Shin** A book that is a different genre than your normal type of read (could be out of your comfort zone).

18. FINISHED 16/1/21 ** Tidal Wave by David F. Berens** A book you meant to read in 2020 but never got around to it.

19. FINISHED 6/1/21 ** James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl** A book that came out before you were born. A Dahl book I've never read and never seen the film either.

20. FINISHED 8/1/21 ** The Copper Bracelet by Jeffery Deaver ** A book that is done by more than one author. 16 different authors.

21. FINISHED 17/1/21 ** Elevation by Stephen King** A book that won an award. 2018 Goodreads Best Horror Winner.

One down 20 to go. #12, a new author to me or a debut author. An excellent first book of the year. I hope I enjoy the rest as much as this one. Highly recommended.

Three down, 18 to go. #19 was the one I though I might struggle with, ancient as I am but Roald Dahl never fails to satisfy and James & the Giant Peach was no exception. Apparently some of my grandkids have read it "ages ago".

Another two done so that's 5 down.

The Copper Bracelet by Jeffery Deaver & 15 other authors: With 16 different authors writing chapter each (two from Deaver) I think this qualifies for #20, a book by more than one author. Enjoyed this and the way the story develops with each author taking it in a new direction of their choosing.

Short Horror Stories Vol. 9. Not my usual genre (challenge #14) and to be honest I'm unlikely to bother with any more in the series even though I got them all for free during a promo. Scare factor... zero. Not impressed.

Just finished challenge #15 and ready to start #16 with the next in the Bosch series.

10 down, 11 to go. Challenge #17, a book that published in 2021 was Your Neighbour's Wife by Tony Parsons, which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a psychological thriller

Thanks Ann, thought it was time I caught up on Michael Connelly books and finished a few series. The latest Mickey Haller, The Law Of Innocence is high on my TBR list.

Hard to choose a single favourite as I liked them all (or at least most) for different reasons but in a pinch I'd say The Puppet Show by M.W. Craven or Love Me Not by M.J. Arlidge
