I’ve just finished The Sweetness of Water it is one of the best books I have ever read. Set in the time of the American Civil War it deals sensitively with the concerns of freed slaves, sympathizers and the harsh right wing!
I am currently reading
Now That You Mention It by Kristan Higgins and I recently finished
The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina by Zoraida Córdova.Inheritance was an interesting story and came with its own family tree. (It didn't help that Orquidea had SOOOOO many husbands and children.)
I enjoyed it, but it was let down because of all the hype.
I just finished reading The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles and I loved 99% of it! The last 4 pages though. That threw me and would love to discuss it with someone out there!

I just finished Wish You Were Here
. It was really good, but took a turn that I wasn't expecting and I still don't know exactly how I feel about it. 3.5★ rounded up.

Finished my second book of the month. This one was an interesting story about a maid (likely on the Autism spectrum, though it is never stated outright) who gets tangled up in a murder at the hotel she works at.

I just started The Year of the Witching on Audible and am really enjoying it so far. I've also started Midnight in Chernobyl: The Untold Story of the World's Greatest Nuclear Disaster and The Evening and the Morning. I'm really enjoying both.
I just finished The Year of the Witching and really, really liked it. I'm happy that there's a 2nd book coming out, I can't wait. I started Ariadne today. I'm a huge sucker for Greek mythology, so I'm expecting to love this book. I'm a few chapters in and really like it so far.
I just finished Darkness Falls
. I thought it was a great addition to the series. 4★ Darkness Falls review

I just finished Gun Street Girl by Adrian McKinty. This is book number 4. This book in the series was ok, I gave it 3 stars. As the Sean evolves as a detective, you can now see how the negative environment of his work place is getting to him. He still wants to do a good job, but in this book, after 10years on the force you can see the effects of the job taking its toll.
