PattyMacDotComma | 3314 comments Art Garfunkel is the best friend who helped his college roommate, Sanford D. Greenberg deal with his sudden blindness. Greenberg's memoir, Hello Darkness, My Old Friend: How Daring Dreams and Unyielding Friendship Turned One Man's Blindness Into an Extraordinary Vision for Life.

It is fabulous! Greenberg knows everybody who's anybody, worked in the Johnson White House, and tells great stories!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10002 comments I treated myself to the audio version of Us, perfectly read by Justin Salinger. David Nicholls really is accomplished at producing the hopeless hero.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10002 comments I really enjoyed being on the run with three grannies in the latest novel by Aussie author, Ilsa Evans, The Unusual Abduction of Avery Conifer. If the title doesn't get you in, the blurb will. Funny and thought-provoking, a delightful read.

PattyMacDotComma | 3314 comments This is the Kopp sisters, World War One style! Norma's in France with her pigeons, young Fleurette is touring in the US with a dance troupe, and Constance is spying. Always fun. Dear Miss Kopp by Amy Stewart is #5 in the series.

Sarah | 1566 comments Here's my (rather belated) review of The Appeal by Janice Hallett (13/7) - I don't recall reading a crime-mystery novel in epistolary form before - this one was very clever!

Sarah | 1566 comments Here's my review of The Perfect Life by Nuala Ellwood. Having read other reviews (which I tend to avoid before I've written my own), I'm glad to find that I'm not the only one who found this one a bit of a letdown.

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments I have just finished Speed Of Dark by Elizabeth Moon by Elizabeth Moon A book set in the very near future and whose main character is autistic. I found it engrossing and at times confrontational. I would recommend.
