I Thought it was very similar to the movie. If you like that sort of humor, try Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons. I thought it was great, and there was a movie made of it.

I love this movie too - it is almost a perfect movie IMO, with the script and casting and story. That is why I thought I should read the book. And so far, it isn't bad. It is not exact to the movie, but it isn't bad. It is full of stories of Edward Bloom and I am sure they had quite the time trying to pick the ones they used. We just had the story of Karl the giant [I LOVE that in the movie]. I will say that it doesn't flow as well as the movie, but that happens with books sometimes. We will see as it continues.

I had no clue he had another book coming out. Just added it to my TBR, but I liked The Martian a lot more than Artemis, so I need to temper my expectations.
