No need to apologise, Lily! It has already been marked down in the main thread :)

There's no need to apologise, Natalie. There's no point forcing yourself to read something unenjoyable just for a letter! This should just be a fun challenge to keep us focused on reading :)

Hey, don't think like that Natalie! You should never force yourself to read something just for points if you're not enjoying it!

Trisha (semi-hiatus) (booksreviewsandprocrastination) | 3571 comments I'll be starting serious study for my exams tomorrow, so I might not read much next week, but I'll be posting the reviews of 4 books that I have read till now as soon as I write them. I'll be back seriously next week!

message 118: by Isha (new)

Isha (imisha) | 696 comments Sorry everyone, I've been reading multiple books at once, which was probably a bad idea because it slowed me down a bit. I should be posting some reviews soon!

message 120: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9852 comments I hope you are still enjoying everything you are reading, guys :)

I'm hoping to finish up two more books, People Like Her and The Last Argument of Kings, by the end of the day. I'll use them to claim the letters P and R, unless we need anything different when I complete them.

I have two books I've finished that I just need to write reviews for and I've started another that I should have finished soon. We can catch up to the other teams!

message 122: by Julianne (new)

I just posted a review for letter A

Oops, silly me. Thank you for the heads up!

message 124: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9852 comments I just edited the post and claimed letter P :)

Trisha (semi-hiatus) (booksreviewsandprocrastination) | 3571 comments So, I'm going to be publishing the following reviews in a while, and I'm thinking letters as follows:
Vicious -W OR Y?
Can You Keep A Secret- P
The Deceivers- E
Unmasked By Her Lover- A

message 126: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9852 comments Sounds good, Trisha :) I'll be finishing The Last Argument of Kings later today, which will count for almost all the letters as it has many other language editions.

Awesome! I think only a Y is left for the next bonus (i should have claimed it, but I felt W's were harder, so I claimed that)

Trisha (semi-hiatus) (booksreviewsandprocrastination) | 3571 comments Or you could stock up on some rare letter, and let anyone who has something else to claim a Y?

message 129: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9852 comments My book can be used for a P and as they are rarer and we need two of them so should I use it to claim that?

Unless anyone else finished another book before, I should have my audio complete tomorrow morning and can use that book for Y then :)

Yeah, that'd be a good idea, I think!

The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

message 132: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9852 comments I really want to read that book, at some point this year.

I've just started The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins and am finishing up my current audio for The Hidden Life of Trees What They Feel, How They Communicate – Discoveries from a Secret World by Peter Wohlleben .

Yay! Awesome, I'll write a review for HSFAB today, and I can claim either A, E or R, so you should take the R! What should I claim though?

message 139: by Eesh (new)

Eesh (quirkyopinions) | 7289 comments Try a book that I find really interesting, especially a short one, take a day or two off from reading, or read in short sprints (20 minutes or so).

I definitely feel like I'm getting burnt out the last book took a lot out of me I really didn't like it but because I was listening to it on the way to work by the time I got there I was about 2-hours in in so so the next day I did a another 2 hours and I was nearly halfway through the book so I thought might as well finish it lol but really feel like it's put me in a bit of a slump not felt like reading at all today

Yeah, probably better to move to another book. There's really no use forcing yourself to finish something you're not liking.

I usually reread a favourite or the next book in a series I love, so I feel I'm guaranteed to enjoy it. I also find physically reading the book whilst also listening to the audiobook at the same time helps keep me immersed. :)

You can combine as many as you want but need 600 pages between them all to claim a letter :) I used three volumes, two single issues, and a poetry anthology :)
