Catherine Cavendish | 314 comments Nine Ghosts by Simon Bestwick - a creepy collection of short stories by a vastly underrated author. Creepy, scary, quirky, Jamesian in parts, wholly enjoyable.

A cosmic horror full of dry, sarcastic humor. I enjoyed it.

The Tell-Tale Art Poe in Modern Popular Culture by Christine A. Jackson

I gave five stars, since I think the book is indeed quite a valuable piece of analytical work. The other reviewers usually rated it with two or even only one single star. My guess is they read it with enternainment value in mind, rather than scientific purposes.

This one actually was a surprise to me. I got the e-book version in a Creepy Crate subscription box and at first I was like....this doesn't look very interesting, but it actually kept my attention and was overall a good story.

not horror or fiction (which is incredibly weird for me), but a friend recommended this one to me. ended up being a pretty good memoir despite being incredibly tragic.

I really did like it and James Moore can write a great story but the massive numbers of typos were unforgivable. I hope other editions will correct them.
