Alexis | 5 comments House of Leaves.

I think I’ve got the swing of it. Loving the story, still a little annoyed at the format.

House of Leaves is more of an experience than just a book, right?

Kara (ladykarasgmailcom) I'm reading a new book given to me for a review. It's Dracula. Check it out on my Goodreads account in my currently reading. So far it's a great book. Especially since it's a story we've either read, or watched movies about.

Mike (theneverendingtbr) I've went for something non-fiction this time and went with Illuminati: The Cult that Hijacked the World by Henry Makow, I read it many years ago and it really opened my eyes - it's very informative.

Decided to re-read to properly review it.

The Night Stalker by Philip Carlo

The book also mentions Zeena Lavey and Nikolas Schreck of Radio Werewolf fame used the courtroom hairing to pay their respect and talk to Richard Ramirez. However, when the author casually claims Nikolas Schreck once cut off his own ear to demonstrate his devotion to Satan, it is somehow a sudden loss of credibility.

Reading Ink by Jonathan Maberry by Jonathan Maberry.

I'm thinking of jumping back into the Joe ledger Novels this year. There are at least 9 books in the series and I have only read the first three! Do you ever feel that there are just so many books you will never get to all of them?

I'll need to live to be 105 just to read the books I already have. And dozens more books come out every year that I want to read! I'm trying to get more selective on what I pick up but still... I want ALL the books! :D

Joe Ledger keeps getting better. Love those books!
Have you tried Maberry's zombie series yet - Dead of Night.
What I like about his books is they are all moving toward a single story point or goal or whatever it could be called, they're converging, that's it! Well worth reading all of them.

How you liking The Stand? It's my all time favourite book!! :)

I'm really enjoying it, but I'm taking too much time with it. I keep telling myself it's a big book so I'm forcing my self into reading it slowly, even if there's no need because it flows really well.

I have not read that series... yet, but I have read the first two books in his Rot & Ruin series, and I read the first Pine Deep book. Can I say how shocked I was that the book ended up being a vampire series. I did not realize it until almost the end of the book. I should finish that series also. I guess I could do "Maberry for a year" challenge. I did a "King for a Year" challenge where I went back and read/reread a Stephen King Book, one a month for a year. I could do that with Mr. Maberry. There are at least 15 books in his library I have not read yet. Several of them are on my TBR list, so they would work for my TBR challenge. HMMM, WendyB and Erin, you are giving me thoughts, which is always dangerous!

The Dead of Night series explains the origins of the zombie apocalypse seen in the Rot and Ruin series. It's seems frighteningly possible that zombies could take over the way it's explained.
The connection between series is what makes these books so much fun. And I find Maberry's book read really fast... or maybe it's just that I have a hard time putting them down once I start!
