Serenity Falls Terrible cover but a pretty damn good read so far.
The book does need a better editor as there are some glaring typos but nothing (at least so far) that takes away from the story.
This appears to be a book that integrates the trilogy it's based on into one book rather than just the three books in one volume in order.

The opening scene will pull you right into the story.
Loved this one!

I am reading as many horror novels I can find this year! So if anyone has any recommendations send them my way!

I'm waiting to use my Audible credit until the end of month when Blacktongue comes out. He's a wonderful narrator and he's narrating it himself.

Right now I'm reading an ARC for a book coming out later this year. It's the sequel to The King of the Wood
. So far, it's good. I'm also reading
The Best of Indie Horror. This is a big one! Lastly, I'm listening to:
which comes out...next week, I think?
Randy wrote: "Just finished THE ONLY GOOD INDIANS by Stephen Graham Jones"Hope you loved it as much as I did!
Char, I thought it was very good, the best thing I've read by Jones so far, and it makes me want to read more by him.

I'm about to start either Devil's Creek by Todd Keisling or The Children in the Lake: A Story You Will Never Forget by Mark Edward Hall. Not sure which will grab me first.
I am currently working on a short scientific paper on EAP's influence on genre literature and Poe's tropes and motifs currently active and observable in modern entertainment media. Means I am currently reading A LOT of literature about Poe.

By the end of April I finished the Shadow and bone series and Six of crows by LEigh Bardugo and now I started
and my re read of HP and the prisoner of Azka ban. I also made progress in THe stand by King, I 'm halfway through I think.
Started a project where I'm reading all of the Stoker winners for Best Novel/Best First Novel (might move on to Best Short Story Collection if this goes well). Did not realize how much Peter Straub I'd be reading. Since The Throat won Best Novel in 1993, decided to start with that series, so reading Koko now. I'm enjoying it, though it's a slight bit more long-winded than I'm used to, and is VERY much of its age (you can feel the late eighties pouring out of every page).

The Murder as a Fine Art series is very good.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I've been wanting to re read that for a while actually
i've only read the first story so far, but it seems like it's going to be a very haunting collection.
This is kind of dry but, Stephen King's "On Writing".
