Serenity Falls Terrible cover but a pretty damn good read so far.
The book does need a better editor as there are some glaring typos but nothing (at least so far) that takes away from the story.
This appears to be a book that integrates the trilogy it's based on into one book rather than just the three books in one volume in order.

You're very kind, thank you!

I'm waiting to use my Audible credit until the end of month when Blacktongue comes out. He's a wonderful narrator and he's narrating it himself.

Char | 17457 comments Right now I'm reading an ARC for a book coming out later this year. It's the sequel to The King of the Wood The King of the Wood by J. Edwin Buja . So far, it's good.

I'm also reading The Best of Indie Horror by Kevin J. Kennedy The Best of Indie Horror. This is a big one!

Lastly, I'm listening to: The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz which comes out...next week, I think?

The Tell-Tale Art Poe in Modern Popular Culture by Christine A. Jackson

I am currently working on a short scientific paper on EAP's influence on genre literature and Poe's tropes and motifs currently active and observable in modern entertainment media. Means I am currently reading A LOT of literature about Poe.

Ryan Johnson (whatryansreading) | 16 comments Started a project where I'm reading all of the Stoker winners for Best Novel/Best First Novel (might move on to Best Short Story Collection if this goes well). Did not realize how much Peter Straub I'd be reading.

Since The Throat won Best Novel in 1993, decided to start with that series, so reading Koko now. I'm enjoying it, though it's a slight bit more long-winded than I'm used to, and is VERY much of its age (you can feel the late eighties pouring out of every page).
