Painting with Metro looks like a really good book! Added it to my TBR.

Loved the Winternight trilogy!

Yesterday I have read and finished

I was stuck in meetings all day today but I have managed to read more of:

Hopefully I can read more this evening and tomorrow. I only have one meeting tomorrow.

Plus Austenesque group challenge reading ..

Whew!

Since the week began I've only read one book
on audio. I'm 41% through
and I haven't made progress in any other books. I started
on audio yesterday.
My dog hasn't improved this week, we think he had a stroke Sunday night that started it all and he's not recovering. We're putting him down tomorrow. :( So I may not be around much this weekend.

Thank you, Charleen. <3 You are so right.

Goodreads tells me I'm 1 behind on my goal, lol! But that's ok. It's always a lot of up and down.

Sending healing thoughts to your precious dog, Elyse!
I read Zenith Man yesterday, and am reading Terror In the Shadows Vol 12, and The First Sister

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. Sending good thoughts and virtual hugs your way.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Elyse. Pets are family, and no matter how often it happens or how long you 'knew' it was coming you are never prepared to lose family. My condolences to you and your husband. Take whatever time you need; we'll still be here when it's the right time for you to come back.

So sorry about your dog, Elyse. It's always so painful to lose a pet. They really are part of the family.
Today I have finished

I really didn't like The Mare very much...I didn't like the message it sent.
And now tomorrow I'll have a huge heavy stack of books to return to the library! 😁📚📚📚 Plus I have new ones to pick up. And I have to decide what I will read next.

Yesterday i read for review Terror in the Shadows Vol. 12: Horror Short Stories Collection with Scary Ghosts, Paranormal & Supernatural Monsters.
Now it's on to It Happened in Silence which I promised to review this week, then i'd like to read an A.I. SF I just bought: Sentience: A Science Fiction Exploration of AI Through An Epic Turing Test - Book 1

Patricia, I wanted to love this book, but it was not a huge hit for me. There were parts that I really liked and were some that were just a little dull. Eeeek, I hate to say that about this well respected book.

Thanks for hosting a great readathon!

I had liked the first book more, although it's sad and full of some awful violence.. apparently there really was a school like that..it's a group read in another group right now.
The second book I found rather dull..it's a bunch of science articles but although I tried to like them they are just on dull topics. Chapter 9 was the most interesting, on sci-fi books! 😅📚📚📚 But unless you like reading about single cell life and stuff...

Not my most prolific readathon ever but set out like that, I'm still pleased with my results :) Most of what I read was 3 stars and up, only one reread, several things outside of my usual genres, and everything fits into at least one prompt for my Flourish&Blott's reading challenge. Woot!

Elyse, I'm so sorry to hear about your pup. Thinking of you.

Finished books that I had started earlier:

Started during the read-a-thon but haven't finished yet:

Happily, I finished all the books I had on the go by the end of 2020, and also hit my goal in the Mount TBR reading challenge! And since New Year's I've gotten a nice start on my 2021 reading. It was a good read-a-thon!
Thank you all for your condolences about my dog. I appreciate the support. <3 My mom had to put her German Shepherd down on Friday, he had cancer. And my coworker found that her dog passed Sunday night/Monday morning. It was a rough weekend for dogs. :(
Hello hello! We had 15 participants who posted at least twice during the 'thon and the winner of the $20 Amazon gift card is.........
