Echo | 772 comments Book 50 is done! Now I get to see how much further I go!

Echo | 772 comments Completed Record of a Spaceborn Few and started in on Akata Witch because I am really enjoy Nnedi Okorafor's works.

Echo | 772 comments Completed Akata Witch, which was really good. Looking forward to the next one now.

Echo | 772 comments Finished up To Be Taught, If Fortunate and it was ridiculously good. Next up I'm checking out We Cast a Shadow based on a recommendation.

Echo | 772 comments Just tore through Disappearing Nightly which was fun, witty, and did not require too much critical thinking. It was a good popcorn type mystery.

Echo | 772 comments Read We Cast a Shadow which was a heck of a ride, definitely an odd sort of satire.

message 57: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Finished The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America which had been on my TBR list for quite some time.

Starting in on some other non-fiction to try and finish off those goals too.

Echo | 772 comments Finished Doppelgangster which was another fun read, and although I guessed almost right away who the killer was, I was way wrong about the motives.

Echo | 772 comments Finished reading The Zimmerman Telegram which was fairly educational without being dull. Now starting in on I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings as an audiobook for my travels this weekend.

message 60: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Completed I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and started in on a collection of short stories about Eid.

message 61: by Echo (new)

Echo | 772 comments Completed Once Upon an Eid which was a really well thought out collection in my opinion. It had a lot of hope and joy and made the holidays relatable for anyone. Would be a great introduction to Islamic traditions for children.

Echo | 772 comments Completed The Girl with the Louding Voice which was very good, even if parts of it were HARD to get through because of the trauma going on. I loved loved loved how the author used Miss Tia's perspective to voice what the reader is feeling as well when she mentioned getting just a TASTE of the hell she goes through.

Echo | 772 comments Finished The Voting Booth during an exceptionally long drive home from the holidays. Great YA read in my opinion.
