I dont remember much about it, I read it in school in the early 2000s, maybe 2001-2003. I want to say it was pretty new then. The vague plot points I remember are the book explaining in detail how rare rainstorms were in the desert the kid lives in, as he had never seen one. And he and his grandmother or mom collect the rainwater the first time he sees rain. Later in the story he finds a book (I think from his father somehow?) And he learns that if he writes in the book it writes the storys placed on its pages into existence. And I think the first world he writes is two worlds connected by a waterfall. Thats all I remember about it though. Any help appreciated! Thanks!
