Hi, I am looking for a children's book that I do not remember much about, except that it follows a boy how is going to be king (I think), and he has to complete a number of tasks to be able to be crowned (my best guess is that is something paralled to Herculean jobs, but i do not remembre the exact number of them...).
What I do remember is that for one of the tasks he has to go to a city were all citizens have noses like potatos, carrots and radishes... I think he somehow fix that for them, or at least he finishes the task and moves on to the next one. I do not remeber the ending but i think he is successful in whatever it is that he was envolved with.
I've read this book at my school library when I was 8, so that means around 25 years ago... It was a thin little thing, with a red cover, but I could never manage to find it again.

Please help me find it, I really wish to read it to my son who turned 9 this year. Thanks yall!!!

Unfortunately no... I dont think it had that many illustrations... I think it was one of the first full on book, as opposed to picture book like that, that I ever read.
