Imogen | 2 comments I read this book probably in the late 2000s/early 2010s, I think it was probably published earlier than that, I'm assuming around the 90s but I could be wrong.
All I really remember is the plot. There's a teenage girl who wants to go into advertising and I think her aunt is in that industry so she helps her niece out. The girl starts by advertising for a soda company (I don't remember the name of the soda but I swear it had 'lemon' in it?) and her aunt tells her to write hundreds of ideas of slogans and put them on post-it notes all over the walls of her bedroom. Her aunt comes in one day and points at one that says '(soda name), worth saving'.
The girl takes this slogan she wrote and films an advertisement with her friends. They use a glass crocodile and there's a boy and a girl in it, basically the idea of the ad is that the girl is holding the soda and a crocodile attacks her, she reaches out for the boy's help but instead of grabbing her arm he grabs the soda and the slogan comes up '(soda name), worth saving'.
That's what I remember, I hope someone out there knows what I'm talking about!

Becca (beccalikesbooks) | 5555 comments The Parfizz Pitch has the crocodile advert in it - you can use the Google Books preview to search for e.g. the word 'crocodile' and find that scene.
