She has a guardian angel. (name forgotten). She had a teddy bear called Mr Pots or Pans(something similar). The headmistress(antagonist) does evil tradings with devil/dark magic to grow back her hair or something. There's also a river ghost or swamp ghost but I forgot what it served in the story.
I think there's also another guardian angel named Ruby Love...

Read this about 3-4 years ago. The book cover is an illustration of the little orphan(red, curly and frizzy hair) in the centre and the background is in dark green with vines foliage.
