I the same way, I need to know what happens so I will read through the hole series in 1 go... Then I might return later to reread some of the books. Only if the books becomes to repeatative I will stop or I notice that I actually not listening to the book but only the plot:-)

Sounds like a great way to celebrate! I have always traveled during this time of the year, but it was a nice change to be able to celebrate at home. I spent the first half of the day volunteering at a temple nearby. Spent the evening recovering back from the busy first half lol. My mom and I ate a simple dinner and watched sappy holiday movies.

Sounds like you both had a lovely celebration. My husband and I spent the day cooking mexican christmas food and watching christmas movies. Then the day after we took the dogs for some cross country skiing.

Lea | 1631 comments Gustaf wrote: "How did reading the second book in the series first work out for you Lea?"

For the jury of one, it was okay there were small hints to book 1, but it was definitely a stand alone story whereas for The Ladies of Ivy Cottage I would not recommend it, that series is definitely not stand alone books. But luckily the storyline was not to complicated so it was easy enough to catch up.
But I have to say that especially for crime stories that are stand alone I often read out of order 😖 whereas for dramas I prefer to read the correct order and all books in the series at the same time

Yeah you are not wrong about the mystery being stand alone in Jury of One, however I think it's much harder to connect to the MC's if you haven't read book one since there's not much of the relationship going on in Jury of One.

That sounds wonderful, pretty envious about the snow. We have had rain and storm all day :-( after several days with classic danish Christmas food, I am looking forward to some spicy food... so inspired by you post , my vote will go to Mexican food tomorrow , I know the kids are hoping for homemade pizza 🍕. We were going to go to Mexico and spend Christmas and New Years with my husbands part of the family but since covid happened, we couldn't. So we did what we could to get Mexico to Sweden instead.

My High School teachers were not a great fan of the classic romance books, so somehow I have not read many of the great classics. As an adult they are always on my TBR but somehow I never get around to read them, I hope 2021 is the year where I change that🤞🏻

Hi Nicole - the edition was also incorrect - the book link goes to the wrong page count. So whilst you now have the right page count the book link also needs to be updated.

Will check in the SH Rose thread but I think you may need to repost again. Sorry - I know there is a lot to keep track of, but I don't want your rose to not count!

Here is the correct book link for this book:
