I had this book in the mid-late 60s. I've thought it was called Puppy Dog Tales, but when I look that up it's not the book I'm thinking of. This book had a series of sentimental, fanciful stories about a variety of dogs - I remember one story had to do with a dog and a butterfly. I think it would have been published in the early 60s. I've looked for it for years - thanks for your help!

HA - I just solved my own mystery! It's called Read-Aloud Puppy Stories, published in 1957, Wonder Books. Illustrations by Crosby Newell. Thanks!
