It starts with a man and his friend talking about teleportation. He says we can already ‘teleport’ because we can go wherever we want anytime. If we want to go to Hawaii, we can buy a plane ticket and go. His friend challenges him by saying we can’t do that if we’re in jail. To prove him wrong, the original man agrees to be locked up in a cell. He ultimately breaks out. At the end he goes through how he did it... tying a sock string to a rat and getting a message out to a reporter telling of what a great story it will be. He gets acid from the reporter to remove the bars on his cell window - all transported by the rat.

A teacher read this book to me probably something 2000-2006.
