39 - A book everyone seems to have read but you
These lists are always waaay too classics-heavy for my taste, but I might be able to find one or two on here I'm not opposed to reading. ;) https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6...
I've never read a Rick Riordan book or a Sarah J. Maas book. I feel like those are the biggest popular authors that I've never even tried.
I also check out the books that have the most Goodreads ratings periodically and see what I haven't read... I'll probably do that for this challenge.

I’m doing The Hate U Give
I've been working for years to fill in all the books that are commonly assigned in school but I missed somehow (despite being an English major). It might be time to check off The Catcher in the Rye.

I love the Martian!

I really enjoyed The Martian!
This might be a good time to re-brows the "over one million ratings list" https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/3...
I think I may use Outlander for this prompt. I had a chance to hear the author give a talk at a library event several years ago, and I'm pretty sure I was the only person in the audience who had never read any of the books.
My first thought for this prompt was Fifty Shades of Grey and I refuse.Maybe I'll finally give Jane Eyre or A Game of Thrones a try

That's a great idea. Thank you.
Irene wrote: "I’ve never read anything by George R. Martin, so here goes..."I read the first two of the series this year at my fiance's prompting, and I loved them! They might be easier to follow if you've seen the show first. Book 1 lines up perfectly with season 1.

That way everyone means people with similar reading tastes to you.

My thoughts exactly with Fifty Shades! Can't do it.
Red, White & Royal BlueThe Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
1984
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again
Charlotte's Web
A Wrinkle in Time
This list is all over the place and I still don't know what to read,

All of those are pretty solid reading choices. The Hobbit is the most episodic, in case that influences your choice. A Wrinkle in Time is probably the strangest but happiest of the group.

The Heroes of Olympus series are my absolute favorites by him, and his writing is much better after all that practice with the Percy Jackson series!
I have never read any of the Harry Potter books!!So this will be the prompt I go to Hogwarts I guess ;D
Sherri wrote: "I'm planning on either The Martian or Eat, Pray, Love. Probably the Martian. :)"
Oh yeah I forgot about Eat, Pray, Love, thanks!
I should probably read Dune. It seems to be the book that people talk about the most that I haven't read.Humble brag: I've read 52 of the books on the list (it is currently at 117). I'm a conformist. And I'm old.
I’m planning to read Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman for this. I usually shy away from non-fiction but this book has been recommended to me way too many times now
I have so many options for this prompt. I'm trying to decide between LoTR, The Way Of Kings, Pride and Prejudice, The Hate You Give, finishing the ToG series or Gone Girl.
I just checked out the list and now i have more books to decide between (Becoming, Rebecca, The Handmaid's Tale, The Secret History and the Vanishing Half). This will be a hard prompt to complete. Too many options lol

Have you read anything else by Jane Austen? I love her so much.

All of my friends seem to have read, and recommended, Pachinko, so that's what I'm opting for, I think. Pachinko: The New York Times Bestseller
@Sandra I have not read anything by Austen yet. I have been meaning to read something of hers for years. Would you say pride and prejudice is a good place to start?
@Milena I'm thinking I should read the Secret History for the dark academia prompt or the 1990's bestseller now. so I think I will read it but not for this prompt. Rebecca is a good contender. I might read that LoTR or Pride and Prejudice.

It also has something of a do-over in it.

Okay, so I really love this category, because - although I read a lot - so often I'll say "I'm the last person on this planet to read this book" (and sometimes it's true!)
Although this is unique for each reader, I thought a Listopia might still be helpful, to inspire ideas. Oh yeah! THAT book! Everyone has read that but me!! Listopia for "everyone has read it but me"
