has a family tree that is essential to the complicated plot. It's an amazing book about slave lineage and complicated family lines.

Thanks for this reminder, that series is on my 2021 TBR anyway. Can’t wait to dive in.

I'm pretty sure that the appendices in The Return of the King contain at least one family tree. You may know this, but just in case, The Lord of the Rings is a single novel that was split into three parts for publication, so you will want to read all three volumes.

They mean a book that has a diagram of how people are related in the front or back of the book.

I probably won't be interpreting it that way as it doesn't say an image of a family tree. I use audiobooks a lot because I sometimes have trouble reading, so I'm just using it as per the prompt, any book with a family tree in it in some way.

I'm pretty sure that the appendices..."
Honestly I don’t think I need to read all three books for a single prompt! 😂

What will you read for this prompt?

Reading Homegoing now and it does have a family tree!

My Sister the Moon
Brother Wind
I'm sure the first book in this series, Mother Earth Father Sky probably also has a family tree but I don't have that one right now.

I couldn't find one in my paperback version either. I'm assuming it's only in certain ones. Maybe the hardback?

I have read the hardcover editions in both cases..
I'm using the Metro book for the Artist category.

It does? My copy doesn’t have one. Are you lookin at the hardcover? :)

There was a table of the lineages at the end, I wouldn't personally call it a family tree but I can see why someone might use it. I read the UK ebook edition.

I'm reading Middlesex right now, which describes a family tree in words, and also I had to literally draw one to keep track of what was going on haha.

I'm kinda hoping I just come across a book that I already plan on reading having a family tree in it...we'll see.

I probably..." I am also not looking for a book with an image of a family tree and more of a book that goes across many generations and families within family - so I may use Pachinko for it which I am not sure has an image but you can draw a family tree (and some people have made it). Sometimes I find books later that fit the prompt better so if I find one that has a family tree drawn inside I may switch but won't stress about it. So far all I saw recommended I either read already or have zero interest in reading but the year is young.

Yes, I'm interpreting the prompt as a literal picture of a family tree. But I think drawing a family tree yourself is a clever interpretation of the prompt. I'm all about making prompts work for you!

Thanks for the tip
