06 - A book with a gem, mineral, or rock in the title

It is, its mineral name is halite (NaCl = Sodium Chloride = Salt)

My lack of science education is showing.
After sorting through my TBR, I'm really glad this category includes "rock" - I'm going to finally read Picnic at Hanging Rock (after several years of telling myself I REALLY need to read it!) - a rock is a rock.

LOL I'm planning to read Picnic at Hanging Rock so if you ask me, "stone" fits just fine.

I think it would apply!

Thank you, Rebecca. That one is in my TBR pile, too.

Thank you! I really want to read this one too, and didn't realize chalk would fit.

I had a layman's understanding that they aren't minerals and went on a little search. Gold (aurum) is not on this very long list of all approve..."
