Spell a Better World - 2021

Just completed my “G” book - Garlic and Sapphires: The Secret Life of a Critic in Disguise by Ruth Reichl. Incredibly entertaining! I was not quite sure what I was getting into and was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. I loved the recipes included! Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Tough one, but for me, I think to make a better world it would be to see the wonders in the world, and to stop dwelling on the negativity in my life, but also those that others place upon me.
The age-old expression "Every cloud has a silver lining" needs to be remembered more and everyone, particularly myself, should slow down sometimes, and look around me at nature's beauty,
Put me down please for 25!

Welcome Rachael!
Glad to see so much progress! January is almost over. How is everyone doing on their reading goals AND their better world goals?
I am struggling with being content this Monday morning with 3 hours of sleep! I've read a bunch of books this month but only 4 have titles that fit this challenge. How does that happen??
Updated through here :)

Finishing this month with 6/17 books.

Just completed my first “I” book - I'd Rather Be Reading: The Delights and Dilemmas of the Reading Life by Anne Bogel. This was one of my favorite gifts from the holidays. Not only did my mom bravely buy me a book (with how fast i read, most people don’t take the chance understandably), she got a signed copy from my favorite podcast host. Reading this book was a joy! Written by a reader for readers, I enjoyed taking the essays one at a time. I laughed, cried, and most importantly, wanted to read more! Definitely worth reading! 5 stars

My 6th grader recently participated in a national competition to actually create from scratch a futuristic city that can successfully thrive in harsh conditions in ways that utilize the environment without further harm to it or its residents, and the model itself constructed using only recycled materials. So I am going to go with his city's name, Mellontikos, for this challenge!
And actually, since this is a whole year, I'll add the city names for the two other teams from his school.
