Self-made millionaire Daniel MacGregor has a perfect life that's only missing one thing: the perfect woman. And though he's sure he's found her in Anna Whitfield, the dedicated medical student is quite sure of her future plans...ones that don't include an overbearing man like Daniel. But Daniel's attempts to woo her will change her mind and heart, lead to a forty-year marriage--and launch a formidable dynasty...

Leane | 53 comments It was nice to hear about how Daniel and Anna got together.
We also have usually only heard things from Daniel's point of view. I enjoyed Anna's strong personality as well.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 342 comments I loved this book. Yes, I agree. It was great to get Anna’s POV. I always wondered how these opposites ended up together.

I’m a little behind but enjoying this one.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 342 comments The narrator does Daniel's voice so well.

Finally finished! Loved it.

I really appreciated getting to know Anna. She’s been in the background so far and didn’t seem to have much development. This changed my opinion of her completely.

The story lives up to my expectation of what it should have been. There’s would have had to be a difficult courtship given his traditional views and her vocation. I loved how she stood up to him and how he kept trying to meet her needs.

I agree. Between the description of Daniel and the voice, he really comes to life.
